Hi Yigit,
We have been using Enfold for a site and it is a fantastic Theme – The version we are working off is 2.7 and I would love to update it to the latest version. Unfortunately I was unfamiliar with WordPress when the site was initially designed and I didn’t use a Child Theme. There were a lot of plugins and some customisations made (some you helped with)
I have backed up the site and the database and also copied through all the quick css –
My question is – when I update the site and if I lose the customisation/plugins etc.. can I go back and just reload the original files by uploading the backups I made or is it more complicated?
I’ve watched your tutorials and I can see that I can go through the version numbers and copy which files I want but there have been a lot of changes since version 2.7 so I wouldn’t know where to start. Can you advise anything if this is not the best way to go – any help is grateful!
Thanks

If you have copied modified Enfold folder, your custom CSS code and your database (using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/ ), you can easily recover if something unexpected happens when you update the theme.
It would be the best if you overwrite all files via FTP while updating the theme, since you are using a fairly old version of the theme.Regards,

Wish me luck!

YigitDecember 30, 2014 at 5:40 pm #373204Hi Yigit,
It all seems to have worked well with one minor exception. We had installed a font resizer plugin (www.cubetech.ch/products/font-resizer) and it sat in the top right hand corner. But now it is showing up under the sidebar on the left hand side. Any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks
GraceDecember 30, 2014 at 6:11 pm #373219Hi Yigit,
Another problem has come up. I’m having issues adding hotspots to the interactive graphic option. Is this a known issue?
Thanks
December 31, 2014 at 1:59 am #373386Hey!
Try to move the font resizer with this on Quick CSS:
li.fontResizer { position: absolute; top: 0; }
Can you please provide a test page with the hotspots issue?
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 4, 2015 at 2:14 pm #374688Hi There,
Happy New Year!
I managed to fix the hotspot issue ( the usual case of log out, log in, delete the graphic, reupload the graphic etc..) but the font resizer is still sitting in the wrong place.
It is now sitting at the top of the sidebar on the right hand side and not the top of the page ( its tricky to see so I need it to be the social media icons. (see page http://www.agefriendlyireland.ie)
Thanks for your help as always!

Are you adding the font resizer using shortcode? If so, can you please post the shortcode here?
Cheers!

April 2, 2015 at 8:31 am #422328Hi!
@ElementArt was using this: cubetech.ch/products/font-resizer. Otherwise we could give you some custom CSS to set a different font size for your site.Cheers!

April 6, 2015 at 5:46 pm #424048Thank you. Our client currently has buttons on their site so that the user can make the fonts larger and smaller. We would plan on using a decent size font since the site is for an older audience, but I was just wondering if there was a plugin so we could keep this functionality on the website. Do you believe that the cubetech.ch font-resizer works well with Enfold?
April 7, 2015 at 5:06 am #424424Hi!
I think it will work. Or you can try this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-font-resizer/
Cheers!
