    Updated to 4.3 and now my site doesn’t work HELP!

    Do you have a backup that you can restore? Which parts are not working? Have you tried updating to 4.3.1?

    You don’t seem to understand, the entire site is down, and I can’t even access my backend. 4.3.1 was the version I tried to update. It was the only plugin I updated.
    Yes, I have a backup that I can restore from VaultPress. I’m going to try that now. Pretty disappointed by this.

    OK – maybe that was premature, the site just came back up as I was in the process of restoring it (VaultPress hadn’t even gotten past 0%). I have no idea why it went down, or why it went back up.

    …and now it’s down again. Can I please get some help to figure out what’s going on? I’d give you access to the backend, but that won’t load either. I really need immediate help with this, because I had a product launching soon.

    I recommend contacting your web host. It’s not a theme issue at this point.

    Why do you say it’s not a theme issue? The issue happened immediately after I updated to your theme. It was the only thing I did. I find your answer to be pretty presumptuous and unhelpful. How did you arrive at that conclusion?

    I don’t work for Enfold and I’m not affiliated, but I do run a WordPress support business. An update to Enfold may have caused the initial issue, but you should be able to restore your site to a time before you updated the theme. if you, me, Enfold cannot access the backend, it’s outside of the theme…as I mentioned.

    If you want to do a screenshare, I’m happy to help you out.

    I don’t know if this helps, but I’m talking to my Host support team, and they said the problem was the theme. This is what they said:
    I ran a wordpress-cli command to get theme status and received an ereror

    This confirms that it is a theme issue. I’m working with my host to restore a backup of the site, and won’t update my theme until a new update fixes this issue. I’m very disappointed.

    Theme files are not updated correctly. I am now deleting Enfold then will install it once again to make sure all files are updated.

    Hi,

    I have tried to update to the latest Enfold version (4.3 downloaded from themeforest today) and it brings down the site for me, too. I just get a blank white screen. I made compressed backups of the previous enfold folder versions and renamed the older enfold folder so I was just able to revert back to the previous version by changing the folders names in the file manager on the server.

    Having said that, when I’ve tried to make the 4.3 version live, it maxed out my I/O usage on the server. This has happened on both Godaddy.com and Hostgator.com servers on several domains all of which have plenty of ram/resources before the attempted update. I have refrained from updating to the latest version because of bringing down sites.

    Please let me know when these issues have been resolved so I can run the theme updates.

    When you say @yigit that the theme was not updated correctly, I don’t know how else I could have updated it. I went into the Wp backend, clicked on the Enfold menu, and clicked to update the theme in the same way that I always do. I won’t make the mistake of updating your themes so soon after the release again.

    Hey,

    Re-installing the theme helped. Folder structure changed in Enfold 4.3 however you should not experience in future. In case you do, please try re-updating the theme via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    @yigit the website seems to be loading, but my host (Dreamhost) is showing that the log is still reporting a lot of errors associated with the theme:

    Hi,

    What about FTP updates?

    When I tried to update via FTP on the server, I still get the blank white screen. Can something be done to resolve this issue? I have a number of business clients that use the Enfold theme and to have their sites running errors or maxing out resources will not work for their live business sites. Up until this point, updates have been a seamless process.
