Hello, I encountered the Layer Slider issue and saw there was an update for Enfold to fix it so I updated it Mon, Mar 27 6:40pm PST via the WordPress interface. I am unsure if it completely updated as the screen accidentally closed, but when I view the website when I am logged in, and click on any item on the menu to edit a page, view the dashboard, etc. I am unable to see anything on the page (it is blank). I can view the website fine now, but cannot access any admin pages. Any ideas what the issue is or can someone help resolve the issue? Thanks.
March 28, 2017 at 6:40 am #767887Hey zetharia,
Please, I
ve checked your dashboard and inspected it, but I didn
t find. So, may you enable the WP DEBUG following this tutorial: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUGBest regards,
John TorvikMarch 28, 2017 at 7:22 am #767910Thanks John for checking it. When you said you “didn’t find,” does that mean when you signed into the account, nothing showed up except for a white webpage? If so, this is exactly what I am getting. What do you think the issue is?
What will happen when I turn the WP DEBUG on? If you mean to add this line “define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );” into the wp_config.php file. It should already be in there.
Did the update via WP not install the theme correctly? If the install is not correct, how do I remedy this? I downloaded the theme files, but don’t see the same file structures in the theme files. Can someone help me fix this error?
March 28, 2017 at 7:47 am #767925Someone told me on another thread to rename my plugins folder and clear cache. Did that, still nothing. This is what I did.
1. Turned WP_DEBUG to true in wp_config.php, also turned on logging
2. Renamed “config-layerslider” folder and uploaded the latest version I downloaded from Themeforest.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/s/h/a/sharonifs/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 111
Then I get…
Warning: require_once(config-wpml/config.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/s/h/a/###/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 30
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘config-wpml/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/s/h/a/###/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 30
3. I uploaded an old functions.php file I have saved from 2015 and a new one and both still give me the same error message with the line # being different.
4. I’m now uploading the new enfold theme to see if anything else happens. Hope this helps. Problem is still unresolved!

BasilisMarch 28, 2017 at 8:49 am #767967Okay Basilis, I just updated it via FTP on Godaddy and get this error below. I found out it is on PHP 5.0, is there an issue there? How to fix these errors below?

March 28, 2017 at 8:52 am #767969How can I get an older theme download? This is ridiculous.
March 28, 2017 at 9:06 am #767980I just copied an April 2016 version and it works on the site. Not sure why this release created so many issues.
March 31, 2017 at 9:39 am #769805Hi zetharia,
Minimum php version for WordPress is php7 and above, so your WordPress installation might become outdated and new versions of plugins and themes might not work. You might want to consider updating you php version.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
