    Hi there,

I have a website made with enfold theme (is now finished), and now I have to update WordPress to 4.4.1…..

I have inserted some code to functions.php, htaccess, etc….apart from inserting some code at the custom css field under general styling tab…..

I have read lots of articles, but since I´m a newbie, I really don´t know if I could update wordpress without losing all those changes….

If so, what do you think is the best way to update wordpress?

(Note: Could it be done by updating wordpress, and then restoring a backup with updraft plus???) Sorry for my ignorance in this issues…..

    Thanks!

    David

    Hey davidmartinserrano!

It would be best to do those customizations in a child theme, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/downloads/, if you want them to be saved between theme updates.

For WordPress updates you do not need to worry but you should always create a backup before updating WordPress anyway.

    Cheers!
    Elliott
