Update via FTP for Multisite: Error

Hi,

We are running the Enfold-theme on our Multi-site and the automatic update is not working on the network (4 sites). We have tried to update the theme via FTP using the guide available at https://kriesi.at/archives/the-complete-guide-to-updating-enfold. We followed all the steps carefully, however, after restarting the server we’re receiving the following error messages:

After updating the theme, we are no longer able to login into WordPress and need to restore a backup of the network.

What do we need to do to solve this issue and update the theme via FTP for the entire network?
