I’ve got a site with Enfold. 3.01 to update to the most current version as it was unable to be edited . it’s running a child theme version 1.0
the update of enfold caused a crash- white screen.
I reverted to the original enfold and the website is now only showing the navigation bar and nothing else on the home page
the wordpress editor is not working on the home page, it’s showing me something very strange when I go into edit
hoping you can help me sort out what I need to do to get this site up and working again
plus, what I need to do to get updated version of the enfold theme runningHey campfireministries,
That version is very old and not compatible with the WordPress version you are running. Could you try to update manually via FTP please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardI did update via FTP and it caused a complete crash white screen, so I reverted to the previous enfold
do i have child theme compatibility problems? child theme is 1.0I have some more details as I have continued to try. I have both versions of Enfold up by FTP. Enfold-old and Enfold-new. I can see them both in the backend and I’m no longer seeing the child theme because of the warining Enfold Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the “enfold” parent theme.
if I change enfold-new to just enfold in my file structure, I get the crash. It seems like the child theme is not working with the new enfold. Any suggestions how I fix this?

Jordan Shannonwhen I’m in the homepage edit screen it’s just a spinning circle to the layout builder. This is my current status with this site, still not able to know if I can update, this is the behavior of the reverted-back. Really hoping I can get some help here.

Can you have at least php 5.6.3? Do you have a backup? Can you check the server log for what the error was when you switched to php7 and can you please check if PhpZip is enabled?

I’m working on the error log, unfortunately it is blank and the host has not gotten back to meI did try to update to PHP 7 and it crashed. See my Dec 9 post
