This is a known issue, but the temp solution provided to replace a bit of code does resolve the issue…kinda. Virtual products now load fine without a 500 error, but variable products do not. They display as out of stock, even when stock management is not on. So basically most of my site is down. Is there a fix coming soon? Or alternative code to temporarily put in that will account for variable products?
March 9, 2018 at 8:41 pm #924718Hello
After the new update on our enfold theme website, the new product pages done through woocommerce shows the following error when added an item, and clicked on preview changes the page that opens up shows the following error:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/pixcelfact/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6
Please advise

March 12, 2018 at 7:00 am #925353Hi,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
NikkoMarch 12, 2018 at 7:20 am #925360Sorry, but that isn’t going to fix the issue. The issue is the last Enfold update. Another mod already posted a temp fix that stops the 500 error by editing a template builder element. That edit doesn’t account for variable products. Instead, it shows them as being unavailable or out of stock. The issue is the modded code provided to stop causing a resource loop of a 500 error page.
March 14, 2018 at 5:45 pm #926739Hi
My website has yet again been completely brocken. I can not even log in to the website through wordpress. I have provided my hosting log in below, please help. I don’t mind to even get rid of wocommerce from my wordpress site as it was recently added. Also what type of on-line shopping plugin do you recommend to work best with Enfold theme.
March 15, 2018 at 5:04 am #927008Hi,
Our developers added a fix for the “Product Purchase Button” element. It’s going to be included in the latest version of the theme.
@igoogleeyes: The theme is fully compatible with WordPress. However, you have to refrain from using the “Product Purchase Button” until the new patch is available.
Best regards,
