Hello, I’ve been using a few enfold licenses for years and for some reason it’s been a few months since my personal portfolio page is experiencing incredibly page load speeds compared to my previous experiences with your theme. I haven’t installed any weird/new/big plugin, all images have been optimized, I’ve got a cache plugin installed as recommended and my hosting service does not seem to find the problem. Can you kindly please take a look and let me know what is happening? I’ve been using Google Page Insights to try to diagnose my site but I haven’t been able to find the issue as to why is it loading so slow…
I’ve provided credentials and I hope you guys can help me, I just renewed my support license since this issue is something I have not been able to catch at all…Thank you

November 23, 2024 at 4:39 pm #1472017Hi,
Thank you for your patience, when I check your /design-portfolio/ page with webpagetest.org as a desktop it loaded around 4s
as mobile, it loaded around 8s, I found that your WP-Optimize plugin created separate files for mobile:
when I disable this it then loaded around 6s for mobile.
webpagetest.org uses 4g for mobile and page speed uses 3g, in both cases the mobile tests are throttled down and a real world device may use a 5g connection.
Your bluehost plugin is also caching, so you have the theme cache, WP-Optimize cache, and bluehost cache.
You could test the different settings in each, but in my experience, 4s for desktop and 6s for mobile is fair.Best regards,

I keep dealing with another issue that is “Flash of Unstyled Text (FOUT)”, for a very split second the fonts loaded are different than the ones used and I wonder if there is a piece of quick-code or something that could fix this, or if you could let me know which setting/change/file is making this happen please.
Does that make sense? Please let me know !
January 7, 2025 at 5:34 pm #1474782Hi,
Typically this is caused by a caching plugin that delays the fonts from loading until after the page loads, so in that first second the browser uses the brow default fonts and then when the fonts are loaded they are used. Try checking your plugin for a setting that may do this, or use the Enfold Theme Options > Page Preloading option to show the page after it is fully loaded.Best regards,
Mike -
