Hi –
I want to make navigation/header of the homepage different from all the other pages. I’m using a Color Section element > background for the header image and a Special Heading element for the associated text.
What needs to be unique is the company logo (in full white, instead of black), removal of the color bar for the navigation, and navigation text in white.
What’s the best approach? Create a separate menu and then assign a special code to that particular Color Section? Then apply special CSS for that specific color section, indicating white logo, colors and transparent nav?
Any/all guidance appreciated. Links to website, etc. in Private Content area.
Thanks,
Rebecca

You can go to Enfold > Header > Transparency Options, then set the logo (use png image) and set the menu color then save.
Edit the page then go to the Layout Sidebar and find Header visibility and transparency then set it to Transparent Header.
Hope this helps :)Best regards,

Thanks for the response. I want to change the the navigation/header for the homepage ONLY. All the other pages should stay ‘as-is’. I believe your recommendation would change the header for all pages. Is there a way to use CSS to change the image/navigation just for the homepage. I’ve seen other forum posts where something similar was done – I just don’t have the CSS expertise to do it myself.
Thanks,
Rebecca

you would want to add “.home” to any nav css that you are looking to utilize. This targets only the home page class.Best regards,

I have checked your site and I think your current header is using left logo and right navigation, and the the one you’re trying to achieve is similar using left logo and right navigation though it’s using transparent header. If you notice, we set the transparent logo globally in theme options however it will not take effect to pages until you have set individual pages to transparent header, this way you have total control on where transparent header appears, most of the time it’s in the homepage.
Best regards,
