Tagged: Full Width Slider, image cropping, image resizing
I am sorry but I just can’t get a handle on how Enfold handles image re-sizing. I know there are dozens of threads out discussing specific problems and threads on suggested sizes but I am still not able to get an understanding of how to make images in certain elements look correct.
Specifically in full-screen sliders and full-page backgrounds.
It seem not matter how small or how big I make an image, Enfold will always want to over-stretch and image to fit.
Example 1: I can put an image sized at 1000px wide by 300px high and above (up to 3000px proportionally, and put this in a full-width slider, set it to be any positioning with a stretch to fit but use the original image size and the slider will still zoom 2x to 4x on the image even when the screen I am looking at on is only 1024 x 768 or smaller.
Example 2: I can set an image to be 1500px by 1500px and set it as a color section background stretch to fit, scroll or parallax, look at it on any size screen and the image is again massively cropped in and stretched.
I am sure you have dealt with this a million times but I cannot find a straightforward tutorial on how enfold handles re-sizing images in the various elements. If you can point me to in the right direction or give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi themeforesttony!
Make sure that you set the “fullsize” option when setting the image and not any of the other WordPress predefined thumbnail sizes.
Send us a link to your page and we’ll take a look.
