    Dear support,

    I don’t even recall the last couple updates since this blog posted, but must’ve clicked update at some point since I am currently running version 4.4.1.

    Now being more aware, I am trying to update to the latest 4.5 but am unable as I receive this message:

    Note: I have seen a work around using something called FTP, but am really not comfortable messing with files. Any alternatives to fixing this or waiting the problem out?

    Sorry for the problem, the update to 4.5 has to be done manually unfortunately. Please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    Hi Rikard,

    Thanks again for your awesome help. It took an hour or so, but I eventually figured out what I had to do.

    I assume I can delete the free plugin theme update: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    without any adverse effects on my enfold version / website?

    Hi Art,

    Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the problems, the automatic updates should hopefully work without any problems after this update.

    Yes, you can delete the plugin if you don’t need it anymore.
