    I have a user that’s been assigned a custom role through the AAM plugin. He has the capabilities to edit_posts and edit_pages. He is able to edit the page and open the various elements. The issue is when he tries to click the Save button or the Close button, there is no response from the builder. It doesn’t save. The modal doesn’t close. It doesn’t do anything. Previously this all worked fine. I did update the theme some time ago (as well as the WP core)… do you think that could be the issue?

    Let me know if you have heard of this issue before and what you think could be causing it.

    Hey beedle,
    Sorry I have not heard of this issue before, perhaps the WP update changed some of the settings for the user. Have you tried changing the user’s role in WP to admin or editor to see if that solves the advanced layout builder issue?
    If it does, perhaps giving the user a higher WP role and removing some capabilities one at a time with AAM would be a good option.

    Good thought, Mike. Interestingly, that did not fix it for this user. Here are the errors from the console for when I try to close the modal…

    I was able to edit the page using Henry’s account without any issue. What is your OS and browser? ( see private field )
