    Hi,

    when I try to update from emfold 4.2 to 4.2.3 update starts but do not finish
    it stops after whriting “actualization of Enfold theme (1 of 1)

    I have to delete .maintenance to be able to continue wokring in my site

    Hi Thomas,

    I’m not sure what could be going wrong there unfortunately, could you try to update manually via FTP to see if that works better maybe? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    will I loose the custom css when updating manuelly via ftp?

    Hi Thomas,

    Are you running a child theme? If you are then the answer is no, if you are not then yes, it will be overwritten if you have added it to one of the default CSS files. If you have added it to Quick CSS then it should be safe. But you should always backup your site before updating anything, regardless of what you are updating.
