I am trying to resolve an issue on my site relating to issues swicthing between the Visual Builder of Avia and WordPress.
I explained previously that on some pages/posts, tyou can switch between them with no issues.
On others when you switch back to the WordPress Editor, the text disappears.I am using the latest WordPress, Enfold and PHP is 7.1 with 256 Memory (max on this sevrer)
The error I see in the console is
“[AVIA-LOG] Switching to Classic Editor. Template Builder is in safe mode and will empty the textarea so user cant edit shortcode directly”How do I fix this?
It does not appear on the blogs/pages I can switch between…
December 16, 2017 at 8:18 pm #889661Hey Amajjika,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look? Which page is it happening on?
Please do not duplicate threads.
Best regards,
VictoriaDecember 17, 2017 at 6:13 am #889748Hi Victoria,
I apologise for duplicating the issue.
I have added the logins down below.
Thank you for your help on this.December 18, 2017 at 9:25 pm #890253Hi,
It is actually not an error but just a notification. To turn on debugging mode, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

YigitDecember 19, 2017 at 2:36 am #890308Hi Yigit,
DO you have any input to the reason why I cannot switch between WordPress and the AVia builder without the content disappearing? That is actually why I started this thread.
I will follow the debugging instructions
Thanks
December 19, 2017 at 12:08 pm #890422Hi,
That is because Advanced Layout Builder is in safe mode. You should be able to see shortcodes right below Advanced Layout Builder and in classic editor when you enable debugging mode. If you need assistance with it, please let us know :)
Best regards,
YigitDecember 19, 2017 at 12:52 pm #890442yes I need assistance! Thank you…
How do I make it so I can switch editor without the page going blank?
December 19, 2017 at 12:57 pm #890447By the way, I do not want to see shortcodes and all of the html behind thes cenes of the AVIA builder.
I want to be able to switch back to the default WordPress editor and still have my content there.
That is all I want…nothing more or less!!December 19, 2017 at 1:15 pm #890458December 19, 2017 at 2:59 pm #890517Hi Yigit,
I can see the pages now, but they have the shortcode in when I look at the default editor.
How can I just see them without all that shortcode?December 19, 2017 at 5:40 pm #890572Hi,
You would see shortcodes on default editor as long as you are using Advanced Layout Builder elements which are basically shortcodes. That is expected behaviour.

I appreciate your time on this.
So if I wanted to switch theme, I would have all that shortcode included on pages which were built initially with the AVIA builder?
And one which were built in the Default would not?
Is that correct?I also need to know why this is not working for POSTS? When I switch between layouts the text disappears. So if a post was created in the AVIA builder and I want to switch to the Default Editor, it vanishes, only to reappear when I switch back to the AVIA builder.
How can we fix this? And was that debug mode something I would have changed along the way, or was that part of an update.
Again, I appreciate you being able to help me get clarity on this.

December 22, 2017 at 5:13 am #891460Is there any chance you could respond to my questions above please?
Or is there a time which support are online which I can talk/chat live – it is very hard to get changes made when I have to wait for days for a reply.
Many thankaDecember 31, 2017 at 7:58 pm #892393Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, the Support Forums are closed during the Christmas and New Years holidays. The forum will open again 1/2/2018. When viewing the forum there should be a large message with a blue background at the top of the page.
Yet we are trying to do some catch up today. If I understand correctly, you would like to switch themes but use the AVIA builder code in the new theme? The AVIA builder code will only work in Enfold, so do you mean switch to a new install of Enfold, or a completely different theme?
When using the AVIA builder on a Post with some content from the default editor, the AVIA builder rules over the default editor, as there is not a way to use the two together. This is by design because of the incompatibility.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 2, 2018 at 5:12 am #892422HI Mike,
Happy New Year and thank you for responding.
I do not want to use the Avia builder on another theme – I want to be able to switch between the default editor and the Avia Builder Editor without losing content – is that possible?
If you follow the thread above it appears that now I can switch between page content viewed on the AVia Builder and the Default editor without it disappearing – All that happens is that the short code appears –
Is it possible to do this for posts too? When I switch between the ones which were written in the Avia builder to the default editor, the actual content goes blank and is not view-able.
This is what I want to resolve.
And with the pages it would be ideal if I could switch and not have the shortcodes appear – but I understand that this is not possible.
Am I correct in that? Many thanks
January 2, 2018 at 12:12 pm #892452Hi,
Sorry that is not possible, you can’t switch between the two editors.
You can see the shortcode of the builder for each page by Enabling Avia Layout Builder DebuggerBest regards,
