    Hi all,

So i came across this site – http://www.wideeyecreative.com/work/

And would like to know how to recreate the top section (blue) i believe it’s called parallax, when the bottom section looks like it’s scrolling over the top? (hope i explained that correctly)

Closest i’ve come to recreating this effect is a fullscreen slider, but that takes up the whole viewport (for obv reasons) really like how on this site, it’s like 75% and you can you see the pieces below.

    Hey Drebosio,
You can use a “Color Section” element to create this, open the element to edit and go to the “section background” tab, and choose the “parallax” in the “Background Attachment” drop down.

    Hey Mike,

This is almost exactly what I want, I had tried this (after posting this message) but i’m not getting the same effect as the url linked earlier. I’ve tried Fixed, Scroll, & Parallax and all seem to be the same =/

Take a look below to see example. I have color section, set to 50% height and parallax

    Hi,
Hum, I tried matching the settings for the demo, but I think the caching is blocking it, but I don’t see the caching as a plugin? do you know how to disable it?

    Best regards,
    Mike

I don’t believe i have any caching elements.

    Unless they are hidden somewhere?

    Hi Drebosio,

I am seeing parallax on with the section on top. What is that you need adjust more? It might not seem to produce the same effect, because your section is not full width. Or this is not a problem?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

I’m not sure if Mike was able to do it, or that it just took time (might’ve been cached, but i cleared mine and i don’t have a caching plugin atm) and at the time this was posted, it was not working properly.

It has since fixed itself? I’m not sure what caused it to work but it’s working now!

Essentially it was being treated as a regular page when scrolling.

Can close this, although idk what the fix was.

    Thanks

    Hi,

We’re glad that the problem is fixed now. Perhaps the cache finally cleared. :)
