Trouble with blog settings

Hi there,

i am writing with things about my blog settings that seem to be having no effect and I don’t understand why.
First off, none of my posts show the category. But I have it set up in the Meta area of the Enfold Settings > Blog Layout that it should. In my custom CSS there is this line that I think is be suppressing it.

.post-meta-infos { display: none !important; }

And most of the time we DO want to suppress everything. But now that we are posting more content and in more categories we want to show them in the Meta area (and tags too) on just the main blog page.

Speaking of the main blog page – I’m stuck as to how it even got to be a blog page. No page is set as the blog page and the home is set to display latest posts and then actually uses the Advanced Builder. Pretty standard set up, right? So why does this page show all the posts?

I’ve now added a drop down of some of the categories. What I’d really like it to have a page that shows posts of all my categories except for one AND on that page only – just those posts it also shows the category and tags – and possibly the author, although we can probably handle that another way.
