TRANSPARENT Main menu sublevel links

Hello,
As my menu is transparent, I need my background sublevel link to be too.
I try quick CSS :
.main_menu.sublevel_links {
background-color: transparent;
}
doesn’t work.
I’m not sure about this CSS. can you please help ?
