I am attempting to use the transparent header option in Enfold for my home page, but it doesn’t seem to be rendering properly in Chrome or IE. See link to website in private comments. It appears the logo elements are on the page, but the transparent header background color I’ve specified isn’t appearing.
Note that I have selected Transparent Header in the page editing interface, under Layout.
One more question:
Is there a way to specify a default layout for new Pages? I would like No Sidebar, Footer Default Layout, and Transparent Header to be marked as default. Thanks!

1. It’s displaying the same in Chrome as in Firefox. You can setup a transparent logo to use in Dashboard > Enfold > Header > Transparency Options. Keep in mind that if you set the header to transparent then the content is going to display beneath it.
2. Yes, you can set the defaults in Dashboard > Enfold > Sidebar Settings.

October 13, 2015 at 12:11 am #517782Elliott, thanks for the response. I’ve already set the Transparent Logo in the Dashboard > Enfold > Header > Transparency Options as you’ve outlined… And defined the Page with that setting. But as you can see, the background color (a dark red/purple) isn’t showing, and the content doesn’t appear to be positioned correctly below the header. (It’s overlapping the header right now.)
Is there a step I’ve missed here?
October 13, 2015 at 2:35 am #517802Still haven’t received an answer here – not sure what is going on. I have moved the “transparency test” to a separate page, at the link in the private content below. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong here?
I have specified a separate transparent image in the Enfold theme settings. I have set a background color of #58031A. I have set the Page settings to reflect Transparent Header. It still renders as an overlapping element, on top of my text. This is not correct per the example image provided in the Transparent Header example image link. Do I need to add some custom CSS here?
October 13, 2015 at 5:45 am #517833I’ve resolved this. It wasn’t very intuitive that this only works when there is a slider element on the page in question.
October 13, 2015 at 2:42 pm #518105Hey!
Sorry for the delay. Please don’t bump the thread because it will push it back at the end of the queue and we will not be able to answer it immediately. The transparent header works best if there is a color section or slider at the very top of the page. No point to make it transparent if there’s nothing behind it. You can check the demo.

IsmaelOctober 24, 2015 at 10:04 am #524202Hi there,
I have the same problem (in all browsers, Chrome, Safari….) and it is a fresh installation WordPress + Enfold with no other plugins active. I imported the demo content for the restaurant which came with the theme. All the content and pictures show up, the header is set to be transparent in the page settings, etc.
However, the header is not transparent, does not show the background picture beneath as I want to. No change on scrolling from transparency to solid color happens.
What I want to have: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant/Please have a look at it, as I am unable to see the solution. Thanks a lot!!
October 27, 2015 at 11:02 am #525401Hey!
I’m sorry but the page’s header is not set to transparent header. Please edit the page, look for the Layout > Header visibility and transparency option. Set it to transparent header. http://aventori.ws/tawu_2015/news/

IsmaelOctober 27, 2015 at 11:35 am #525426Hi Ismael,
thanks for getting back to me!
Well, the header is set to transparent. I just checked it once again. Please see below the login details in the private content. If you could help me to choose the correct settings, I would really be happy! Ideally if we could solve this still today, because I am working on a parallel project where I need this to be done asap. The site I mentioned here is just a test page which I set up as fresh installation with nothing but WordPress and Enfold so that I can understand the settings without having other plugins creating problems. Thanks a lot in advance

you are using an old version of the theme, so it might be caused by this. Upgrade and let us know if you still need help.

AndyOctober 31, 2015 at 10:53 am #527882Hi Ismael & Andy,
this takes so long to be fixed… I appreciate really if you could help me to solve it completely now!! Is there any way I can get continuous support from one of yo guys without several days gap inbetween each follow up? I just purchased the theme again today, I love it so much, but this one thing remains unfixed.
You have the access to my site, you can see there that I updated the theme to the latest version – and there is absolutely no change. Fresh install, WordPress, no other plugins… The header is supposed to be transparent, like in your restaurant demo, yet I am trying all settings and it seems not to affect the header. Pls help me. It is getting urgent now! Thanks a lot.
ShaoxumingThis is the header I want: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant/
And this is the header I have: http://aventori.ws/tawu_2015/November 2, 2015 at 7:10 pm #528749Hi!
we can only support you to fix it by yourself. If you have time sensitive projects and need a freelancer, feel free to hire one here: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization
Add this code to Quick CSS field so that the background image of your color section will go up:
.html_header_top.html_header_sticky #main { padding-top: 0; }
I checked your settings and everything seems to be fine, however, your header does not behave right. Deactivate all your plugins and check if that helps.
Did you add any custom CSS code? try to remove every custom CSS and check again. If that does not help then maybe there are some corrupted theme files and in this case you need to delete all theme files completely via FTP, before getting a fresh copy from your themeforest account.
Cheers!
