I’m changing my site over to have a transparent menu on an image background.
The documentation says to set the transparency “on the page”. Isn’t there a way to do this globally? I have to set it for every page? This seems strange.
The second issue I have is when I go to the “home” landing page, and set the layout to transparent or transparent/glass, the text from the page starts under the header and rides under the now “glass” top header and menu. It makes it look like a complete mess with the body of the page starting under where the header is, and the header text on top of the page’s body text.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Yes, the transparent header should be toggled on a specific page and there should be at least a slider, color section or image on top of the the page.
Cheers!
IsmaelOctober 28, 2014 at 5:20 am #341994Okay, there is an image as a background image. Does that mean it won’t work correctly and that it must be an image as in when you place an image into the page’s content using the Avia editor?
What explains the odd behavior of the header showing over the page’s text once transparency is turned on?
Next, if you look at the page as it now, is there a way to get the menu items to have a transparency to them so the image underneath shows through?
Finally, the Enfold configuration seems to be ignoring my color setting for the sides of the site, currently black. This is actually set to an shade of green in the Enfold Styling configuration setting, but something is overwriting the setting and forcing it to black. How can that be changed to the green shade I chose in the Styling section?

For transparency of menu items use this code in your Quick CSS:
.html_header_top.html_bottom_nav_header .main_menu>div, .html_header_top.html_bottom_nav_header .main_menu ul:first-child { opacity: 0.97; }

On the second issue…
For now we have decided to use the header as it is today so the second support question I raised is no longer an issue. If we decide to go that design route again I will open a new support case. -
