I started on a new site with the standard enfold parent theme completely forgetting to make a child theme.
(Enfold 2.9.2 has issues with WordPress 4.0.1, sliders don’t work and contact forms don’t work)
Now I want to update to a newer version of enfold to get the sliders and forms working but I don’t want to lose my advanced styling or quick css.
How would I go about transferring them into a child theme or maintaining them during an update?
Or is there a better solution maybe by exporting the theme’s setting file, what does that even do?
I now have three sites that are no longer working with the contact forms and sliders.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?
Hey!
Thank you for using Enfold.
If you only have css customizations, you can import the parent theme options. Please refer to this link: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
