I have just transferred an existing site to a new hosting and done all the normal wordpress things to get it working i.e changed url and home fields in database.
Now when I click on page edit (any page) content is not displayed and I have a “busy” circle that does nothing. Also if I click on the actual theme in Appearance: Themes, nothing happens!!
Finally and more important if I click on the “enfold” menu item I get the display for front page settings and logo locations but the “save all changes” button is grayed out. Effectively none of the buttons work and the fields will not accept changes!
Any help appreciatedAugust 13, 2014 at 8:58 pm #304028Hi Saltdepot!
When you say you did the normal changes when moving, what exactly did you do? A simple search and replace of urls isn’t going to be enough in this case as the theme uses serialized data which is tied to the length of the domain name.
This page on the docs has a link to a plugin we always recommend and a tutorial from the tuts+ network which has more information http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/
Cheers!
DevinAugust 14, 2014 at 12:21 pm #304337Thanks for that:
I will look at the link and hopefully solve it using the plugin. Just glad there is a logical answer. Many thanks

Great, please let us know if the plugin doesn’t solve the issue.
Best regards,
PeterAugust 15, 2014 at 2:34 pm #304920Many thanks for the advice to use wp migrate db.
Something that a lot of users of this plugin have encountered is knowing what the “New file path” is (we all know the domain url!)
A clever but obvious suggestion is to install the plugin on both sites because it interrogates the “current file path”
Thanks againAugust 15, 2014 at 2:51 pm #304928This reply has been marked as private.August 16, 2014 at 7:02 am #305196Hi!
Thank you for the info.
Did you transfer all contents including the plugins? Please watch this video on how to properly use the wp migrate db plugin: https://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/migrating-your-wordpress-database-wp-migrate-db-production-to-development–wp-32684
Cheers!
IsmaelAugust 20, 2014 at 4:42 pm #306923Problem solved now but I ended up starting a new WP site from scratch, installing Enfold and then attaching the database from the previous hosting (modified with wp migrate db) . All worked but don’t know what was missing before. Sorry to waste peoples time.
