I’ve just been editing a few blog posts on our site, and on clicking “update” the Title and breadcrumb, and featured image disappear from the front end. They were visible while doing “preview post”, but once “Update” was clicked they disappeared.
I’ve done a staging site to see if this is fixed in a recent theme update, but no difference.

Have you tried disabling all active plugins to see if the issue resolves?
Best regards,

Thanks for your reply. Yes of course, first test on any issue is to deactivate plugins. No luck.
I’ve also tried forcing Title Bar and Featured image in the Layout options for a single post. No luck.
The Title Bar and Featured image remain in posts that have not been edited or updated.
There are no console messages to indicate a js or other issue.
The only way we’ve had of regaining the Title Bar and Featured image is to roll back the revisions, then you can preview again and see the Title Bar and Featured image in place, but hit update, and they disappear again!

Follow up: Trigger may be the use of the Advanced Layout Editor. If you turn that off, the Title Bar and Featured image return.
Does that help diagnose where our issue is? Is there something in the theme settings that would maybe force the Title Bar and Featured image off if the ALE is used?

When you build posts with the Avia Layout Builder you don’t get those out of the box, you get the clean slate where you need to add all the elements that you want to be displayed. You need to use the Avia Layout Builder elements to show the image and the post title.

That seems a little counter-intuitive, especially when it still shows the selectable options in the post backend for Layout. Perhaps you should grey-out/remove those if the ALE is active?

Well, some of them are still used when rendering the blog grid or something else. So they are not entirely gone. And breadcrumbs can be added with the custom shortcode.
Best regards,
