We want to have a title on our home page but for some reason, it is not working. We have the Page Title Bar set to “Show Title and Breadcrums” for that page and also as the default?
TITLE NOT SHOWING ON HOME: http://54.215.1.130/~betterleadgen/
SHOWS UP HERE: http://54.215.1.130/~betterleadgen/re-sellers/
February 15, 2018 at 11:03 pm #913007Hey janton1,
Where specifically on the page should the title be showing up? This is to help determine the section I should be inspecting.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonFebruary 16, 2018 at 1:53 am #913042I am referring to the page title that shows up on the top of all pages. We changed this page name but look here: http://54.215.1.130/~betterleadgen/web-sales-driver/. Where the page title Web Sales Driver shows up. We want the regular page title to show up on the home page but it wont for some reason?
Thank you in advance for your help.
February 16, 2018 at 4:09 am #913069Hi,
The page title will not show if your page Header visibility and transparency is set to transparency. But this solution may work:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/breadcrumb-w-shortcode-only-appears-if-header-no-transparency/#post-469042Best regards,
MikeFebruary 16, 2018 at 11:18 pm #913434On this page the “Header visibility and transparency” is set to NO transparency. So according to your last response, it should work? Did you mean if it is set to “no trasparency”.
Why does the page title show up on the other page? We want the page title setting like the other page.
February 16, 2018 at 11:22 pm #913438Hey janton1,
So it is showing the incorrect title? Apologies for the follow-ups I’m just trying to get a clear understanding of the issue.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonFebruary 16, 2018 at 11:31 pm #913440I cant get the page title to show up on the home page. It works on this page: http://betterleadgen.com/web-sales-driver/
So why won’t it work on this page: http://betterleadgen.com/
Feel free to change any setting to make it work. I show all the header and transparency settings are the same for both pages.
Thanks
February 16, 2018 at 11:51 pm #913443Hi,
Okay I see. I’m tried adjusting title settings on the page itself and still ran into the same issue. Are you sure you have no custom css that may be hiding it?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonFebruary 16, 2018 at 11:59 pm #913448I am not the only person who worked on this but the child theme style sheet is blank. Is there a place to add custom styles in the WordPress dashboard theme settings?
February 17, 2018 at 12:20 am #913452I found the custom css and this is all that is there. Nothing to hide the page title
/*hide auto sidebar from magazine*/
.page-id-2967 .sidebar .widget_nav_hide_child {
display: none;
}/*2.8 firefox problem*/
.avia-image-container-inner, .avia_image {
max-width: 100%;
}#socket .avia-bullet, #socket .avia-menu-fx {
display: none;
}February 17, 2018 at 10:06 am #913598Hi janton1,
You need to add the title manually to this page. Here is how to do it:
You can do it before or after Layer Slider.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaFebruary 20, 2018 at 10:13 pm #915072This is not working. Please look athe screen print below. I removed the code for now since the site is now live. Also, we don’t want the breadcrumbs just the page title. I really don’t understand why it works on one page and not the other one.
Also if we edit the theme doesn’t it affect auto updates of the theme?

SCREEN PRINT: http://betterleadgen.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/title.jpgFebruary 20, 2018 at 10:15 pm #915075I just noticed that page title is now not showing up on the other page? It was working fine on the below page when I opened this ticket. What did you guys change? Please change it back.
February 20, 2018 at 10:19 pm #915077I put the ftp information below if you want to check the code changes you had me do. But honestly, I bought this theme so I don’t have to mess with a bunch of code. I would be very grateful if you can go in and get this working.
February 21, 2018 at 2:11 am #915136Hi,
Ok, I tried to login to try to fix your issue, but I was not able to login, please check in info in the Private Content area and advise.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 21, 2018 at 2:19 am #915141The last information I put in the private data was the ftp login. The wordpress login is at the top of this email thread.
February 21, 2018 at 4:53 am #915221Hi,
Thanks for that, I don’t see any settings or code that would cause this issue. Yet in my investigation I tried to Enable Avia Layout Builder Debug and I found that adding the code to your child theme functions.php via FTP didn’t show it in your functions.php file in Appearance > Editor, nor did it enable the debugger.
Do you know if your webhost has a hard cache, or if your are using a CDN such as cloudflare?Best regards,
MikeFebruary 21, 2018 at 11:26 pm #915776No not that I have ever known of. Why did the other page stop showing the title?
February 22, 2018 at 2:07 am #915809February 26, 2018 at 11:21 pm #918081We don’t have any caching set up at a server level I just checked. Why is it so hard to get a page title to appear on this page. It works fine on the other page?
February 26, 2018 at 11:38 pm #918087Hi,
Apologies for the delay in solving this issue. Please allow me to check with my team for additional input.

Jordan ShannonFebruary 26, 2018 at 11:50 pm #918095Hi,
I edited your page and clicked “Screen options” on the top right corner and checked “Custom fields” and scrolled below ALB and set “header” to “Yes” – https://i.imgur.com/gn9CCfW.png. Please review your website :)
