Hi, I would add a potential hyphen to the special heading module.
Verkaufserfolg
Unfortunately once the page is saved, it is gone. Are there any filters that can prevent this? Thanks Sascha
May 17, 2017 at 5:08 am #794604Hey saschapi,
I have tried to use & amp ; and & copy ; it works fine on a Special Heading, but & shy ; doesn’t seem to work. Can you use a normal hyphen instead.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 17, 2017 at 12:11 pm #794809Leider nein. Es geht ja darum ein sehr langes Wort dann zu trennen, wenn der Screen zu klein ist um es insgesamt zu zeigen “Donaudampfschifffahrtskapitän”. Man kennt das! ;)
Wenn ich da ein normalen hypehn reinmache, wäre es ja immer getrennt. :;-/
May 17, 2017 at 1:19 pm #794865Hi,
Can you give us a link to the page mentioned? I think it can be separated on smaller screens using css ( https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_word-break.asp )
Best regards,
NikkoMay 17, 2017 at 1:22 pm #794867Here is a link directly to the section. check on Phone size and look for “VERKAUFSERFOLG”.
What you try to accomplish with “Word break” will end up with the word breaking without a hyphen at any letter. That is not OK.
“VERKAU
FSERFOLG”May 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm #795877Hi saschapi,
I got 404 on the link you provided. Do you have another link?
Or try these http://www.punctuationmatters.com/insert-an-n-dash-or-m-dash-on-a-web-page-or-blog/Best regards,
VictoriaMay 18, 2017 at 2:28 pm #795896Sorry had to move the test environment and forgot to notify you here. Here is the current link ;)
The mentioned Dashes will not help as they add a HARD dash not a soft dash. The idea is to mark places in long word where there COULD be a place to use hyphenation if the column is not width enough for the word. Not to FORCE the word to always have a hypen. Thanks for your help.
May 22, 2017 at 6:12 am #797392Hi,
I checked the page and the soft hyphen only displays if the screen size is lower than 550px.

IsmaelMay 22, 2017 at 9:07 am #797471Hi Ismael,
so this means the entities get saved but do not show up in the text field when editing.
This should be noted for a future fix.
Regardless of that you hint solves my problem!<3 Thanks Sascha
