    Hi there,
    i recently upgraded to php version 7.2 but am still using the enfold theme 3.5.3, mainly because the theme didn’t work any more after i tried to update it to the latest version. But unfortunately with version 3.5.3 i can’t edit the sites of our homepage any more, i.e. when i try to open the editing mask of a site i get a time out. I received the following error message from wordpress:

    I already contacted our host but they couldn’t really help.
    Do you have a solution for my problem?

    Hey Susanne,

    That version of the theme doesn’t support PHP 7.2, what problem did you get when you updated to the latest version of the theme? We can’t really support versions of the theme which are several years old.

    Hi Rikard,
    thanks for your quick reply. When i update to the latest version of the theme and try to open our homepage afterwards i get a blank site with the error message Die Website weist technische Schwierigkeiten auf.

    Hi Susanne,

    Thanks for that, I see that you have the latest version of the theme installed and the site seems to load without any problems on my end. The layout builder doesn’t seem to load when trying to edit the front page though, is that the problem you are having now? If so then which version of PHP are you currently running on the site? We recommend 7.1 or 7.2.

    You can also try to activate debug mode and try to copy all the shortcodes to a new page to see if that helps: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode

    The latest version is 4.5.7, you need to update to the latest.

    Hi Susanne,

    Thanks for the update. I see some error messages on the page which you are having problems with, I’m not sure what is causing them though. What happens if you deactivate all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them?
