I have tested on different occasions the speed of my site. The reports show the that time to first byte is up to 8 seconds and occasionally 10 secs. Check on images and so on, is not the problem according to the reports. It never gets to that. IN disccusion threads some developers pointed out that the buffer is not properly flushed and the site first wants to first complete the entire php. Untill that is finished it continues to load the rest of the site.
so first, I am correctly informed? is the initial loading of the site theme the issue? and if so, what can be done about it
February 25, 2016 at 7:38 pm #589402Hey hans!
Your homepage is approx 1MB and it should load with 3 to 4 sec max if everything is setup correctly.
Use a wordpress cache plugin like W3 Total Cache https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/
Setup a CDN like Cloud Flare
Check if the DNS is setup correctly with the hosting provider.
Please check this report for more details
all theme files are taking very less time to load except the initial DNS response and one admin-ajax.js file.http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?testurl=http://addvise.net#!/cyOkkj/http://addvise.net/
Best regards,
Vinay KashyapFebruary 26, 2016 at 12:48 pm #589708a cache plugin is installed [zencache] [although updated of PHP is underway
Cloud fare will not solve the problem because not rendering is the issue. it is the first time to byte
According to Google [using search console] the DNS lookup is not an inssue. And if you look at the report you sent, it is not the problem. It is waiting for something [yellow colored box] DNS ilookup and response s a fraction of a second
Ajax issue I saw. I added in the quick CSS :
add_action( ‘init’, ‘my_deregister_heartbeat’, 1 );
function my_deregister_heartbeat() {
global $pagenow;if ( ‘post.php’ != $pagenow && ‘post-new.php’ != $pagenow )
wp_deregister_script(‘heartbeat’);
}
this should stop the heartbeat. but apparently not always. Is there a better way to stop the ajax heartbeat ?
If you look at the recommendations, combining CSS and JS are a main factor, and the main ones are Theme related.February 27, 2016 at 5:48 am #590145Hi!
Ok! Could you please disable enfold and activate the default wordpress theme and let us know the result. If possible pelase share a screenshot from the test result from pingdom or other similar site so we can try to home in on the issue.

February 28, 2016 at 3:10 am #590331Hey!
Try using the following plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/That will reduce the number of JS/CSS resources by concatenating them in a single css/js file.
Regards,
JosueFebruary 28, 2016 at 4:30 pm #590442results are now much better. also the previous installed improvement
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/160228_Y3_GJ8/1/details/hope you can see the results.
so on the first time byte the issue is resolved. thanks for the tip.
Now up to me to decrease rendering, ie compress remaining images etcFebruary 28, 2016 at 9:31 pm #590488Hi!
You can also try a plugin like optimisation.io, which does includes CDN and Image Compression, inside with minify etc and it will help you make your web site a lot faster.
Cheers!
