Hi there,
I am using WooCommerce to display different areas in a hospital. . My client has asked me to slightly change the category images. All images are 400 x 400 pixels. However, all NEW images I upload, are resized and cut off in a different dimension.
The problem only occurs when I upload NEW images into the media library, because if I switch the category thumbnail back to an image that is already in the media library, the thumb on the category page is displayed fine.Thank you,
Best regards,

You can adjust the product image size:
WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display > Product ImagesCheers!
JosueMay 26, 2015 at 11:32 pm #450342Hi Josue,
Thanks, but I am not referring to the product image size. I am having issues with the category thumbs and as far as I know, those cannot be changed in the WooCommerce settings.
Please have a look at the following pages:
http://colegmedicoarroyito.com.ar/especialidad/anatomia-patologica/. I have added a category image, with a size of 400 x 400 and this image is displayed above the products, in a square.
However… if you look at http://colegmedicoarroyito.com.ar/especialidad/alergia/ you will see a rectangle displayed above the products, even though I also uploaded a 400 x 400 category image.
The first time I uploaded category images (400 x 400) I had no issues at all, but now all images that I add to the media library and then use as a category image are displayed as a rectangle, which is not what I want, I want to keep them as a square.
Could you have another look? Thanks!
Best regards,
Nathalie
May 27, 2015 at 1:10 am #450369Hi Nathalie!
Have you tried changing the “Catalog Images” size there – http://a.pomf.se/kivhni.png? remember to regenerate the thumbnails after doing this change.
Best regards,
JosueMay 27, 2015 at 1:59 pm #450556Hi Josue,
Yes, I’ve followed all of those steps.
1) Catalog images are set to ‘400 x 400’ on the page you’ve mentioned.
2) I have the regenerate thumbnails plugin installed.
3) I have regenerated the thumbnail for this category: http://colegmedicoarroyito.com.ar/especialidad/alergia/ as a test.Nothing is happening, catalog thumbs remain displayed as a rectangle for NEW images. It is like the Enfold (Child) theme is auto resizing / cropping the new category images to 730 x 277 pixels, which I haven’t set anywhere in the theme.
What else could be causing this problem?
Thanks,
Best regards,
Nathalie

Happy with the support as always, already my 4th site with Enfold and definitely not the last.
