When switching an existing website to the Enfold theme, the thumbnails of the embedded YouTube videos in the posts are displayed in an incorrect format (3:4 !). When I put the same videos in another (new) web instance, they are displayed correctly (16:9).
What could be the reason for this? Is it perhaps due to the theme used so far or the WordPress settings? I have searched the settings (Enfold, Post, Block) but so far without success. Uninstalling and reinstalling the theme and the child theme have so far brought nothing.
I also had the Church demo installed on both websites.
I reactivated the previous theme for this reason, so I can’t post a link with the error. Maybe I can be helped already like this. If not, I can activate the Enfold theme then of course.
November 19, 2022 at 11:27 pm #1373238Hey Thorsten_Reichel,
Thanks for your question, the video showing on the page on the “test1” site is in big-preview container that has padding. You can remove the padding with this css:#top .big-preview { padding: 0; }
After applying the css, please clear your browser cache and check.
Best regards,
MikeNovember 21, 2022 at 9:51 pm #1373433Hello Mike,
many thanks for your fast response, but on the test1 page I did not have the problem.
Your suggestion with the css unfortunately did not bring the desired effect on the other page evkbm (See link below, I switched to Enfold). In the customizer on this page I can set the media width. With this I can make the images fit, but if I make the browser smaller, it doesn’t fit again.
Strangely, this setting does not exist in the customizer under test1 and on this page the preview also fits.
What’s wrong here?Best regards
ThorstenNovember 22, 2022 at 1:47 am #1373442Hi,
On the page that you have linked to the video is in a WordPress block editor element, so I assume that the page is created with the WordPress block editor and not the Enfold Advanced Layout Builder like the other page.Best regards,
MikeDecember 1, 2022 at 2:36 pm #1374632Hi,
the Enfold Advanced Layout Builder was not really working in a post with such a video link. The display of the content was not correct, and it was not possible to add a new element, the selection buttons were not displayed or were displayed incorrectly. But I think I have found the solution. If I switch off the Jetpack plugin, then everything works properly! Is the problem perhaps known? Is there a known connection between the plugin and Enfold?
Best regards
ThorstenDecember 1, 2022 at 3:06 pm #1374644Hi,
I have seen issues with the Jetpack plugin in the past, mostly when the theme compresses the js and the Jetpack also does or Autoptimize is also used, the double compression causes errors sometimes, but not always.
Glad to hear that you have this sorted out, shall we close this then?Best regards,
MikeDecember 1, 2022 at 4:45 pm #1374673Hi Mike,
I’m not that familiar with Enfold at the moment, so I can’t say if everything works so far. But I think you can close this topic. I’ll open a new topic if I notice something again. Thank you!Best regards
