    Gestern wollte ich Enfold bei Themeforest kaufen. Ich war dort bisher
    nicht registriert. Nachdem ich alle persönlichen Daten eingegeben hatte
    (einschließlich meiner Kreditkartenkarten) und den Kauf abschließen
    wollte, erschien unmittelbar die Mitteilung, dass mein Account geblockt
    sei, ich solle mich an den Support wenden. Ich habe den Envato-Support
    kontaktiert und bekam diese Antwort:

    So etwas ist mir noch nicht passiert, ich bin seit 1998 im Internet
    unterwegs. Ich habe einen einwandfreien Leumund, keine Schulden und mein
    SCHUFA-Ranking könnte nicht besser sein. Es gab in der Vergangenheit
    keine PayPal-Dispute, unbezahlte Rechnungen o.ä. Ansonsten könnte ich
    das verstehen. So fühle ich mich aber richtig angepisst. Vor allem, weil
    ich jetzt euer Theme nicht kaufen kann. So wie ich es sehe, wird es nur
    über Themeforest verkauft. Ich denke ihr solltet wissen, was euer
    Geschäftspartner so treibt. Überflüssig zu erwähnen, dass weitere
    Anfragen meinerseits dort unbeantwortet blieben.

    Sorry about the problem. I’ve never heard of this happening to any of our customers before. Could you try replying to Themeforest why they are blocking your account? If they won’t enable your account again, then you might want to register a new one?

    I have already asked Themeforest for an explanation of the reasons. Unfortunately, I do not receive an answer.
    I followed your advice and tried a new registration. But this also failed, probably because the name, address and credit card are the same (I had only used a different email address). I would have needed Enfold for my business, but now I see no chance for it.

    By the way, I am not the only one to whom something like this happens. If you search the internet, you can find other examples.

    Thanks for the update. So why did they block your account in the first place? I’m sure it has happened to other users as well, but none of ours as far as I’m aware.

    We have an exclusive contract with Envato/Themeforest, so we are not allowed to sell our theme on any other platforms, or directly to customers.

    I wish I knew. I have explicitly asked Envato about this in an email and receive no reply. The message that my account was locked appeared immediately after I wanted to complete the payment process. It is incomprehensible to me. As I have already written, there is no reason for this in my opinion.
    I have already suspected that you have an exclusive contract with Envato. (Precisely because Enfold cannot be found in any other shop). I just thought you should know what my experience with Envato was. Have a good time.

    Thanks for that. I’ve notified Kriesi about this, maybe he has some other way of getting clarification from Envato.

    Just a thought; could it be possible that your account was accessed by someone other than you maybe? That could potentially trigger security protocols.

    Hi,
    It was my first contact with Themeforest at all, I didn’t have an account there before. I am not aware of any misuse of my name, my email address or even my identity. But I think if something like that had happened in the past, I would normally know about it. I handle my data very carefully for security reasons.
    I would be very pleased to have Kriesi’s support in this matter, not least I would be very interested to know what in detail led to the blocking.

    Yes, exactly like that. First I put the Enfold theme in the shopping cart. Then I created the account according to the requirement. In the payment process, I then selected credit card as the payment method and entered the credit card details. I clicked on the payment button and the next thing I knew, a message appeared saying that my account was locked.

    Thanks for the clarification. It sounds like this was automatically triggered then, I’m guessing by an internal security check. Do you have any other cards that you can try using?

    Yes, I have other credit cards. But I am afraid this will be of no use at this point. (Also, for tax reasons, the payment should be made from my business account, the other cards are for my personal account). I got a new mail from Envato:

    Thanks for that. I’ll wait to check if Kriesi could get some more information, but I’m not sure if he could. Even if he could get a real reason, then I’m not sure if there is much we could do about it. We don’t have any say in internal processes at Envato unfortunately.

    PS: I have made a request to Envato in accordance with DSGVO (Data protection self-disclosure according to GDPR). So far I have not received any information. I may have to contact the Australian authorities.

    Unfortunately there is no progress.

    I searched all 3 email addresses you shared in our database but it seems like none of them are used to register on our support forums so your data is not stored by us.
