I did upgrade to 4.4.1 on a busy site yesterday, and I could not understand why several pages appeared to break(as I’m finding out today from a very unhappy customer). It appears that when this av_uid is added, whatever script you have doing the post actually does a strip tags and removes html tags that are pretty critical to the functioning of the page, including script, style and iframe. It also appears to run five or six times for each page, updating the av_uid to something different each time. Can any of this be fixed? Is there a reason for this behavior?

Why would these appear to come from the IP addresses that they do? One in Romania and one at Harvard?(This was from the Activity Log plugin, so not sure about this, if this activity is just generated locally)

I’m assuming that this is Enfold per this: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/all-shortcodes-have-av_uidav-d7ng7vw-added/

    Hey tcowin,

As it is an alternative way – we will do although ask our Developers to review it properly.
Can you try the alternative way suggested on how to modify the pages?

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    Hi tcowin,

The shortcode uv_ids have nothing to do with ips, what scripts do you mean, what is being stipped out?

Could you please attach some screenshots or a video of the issue?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,
Does this behavior still persist today? That is if you paste the page shortcode into the debug box and save the page, does it strip the tags, or did this only happen on the first update?
I would like to duplicate the error to debug it, but can not on my localhost, perhaps if it is continuing to do so on your site we can log into your site and see this on a test page?
Do you think there is a chance this was because of a plugin or custom script?

    Best regards,
    Mike
