Hi guys,
automatic updates are still not working for me too. I am now on the Enfold v3.4.6, last time updated per FTP. Transients “update_themes” can’t be deleted..
Is there any idea of how to fix this?
Thanks,
– Max
December 19, 2015 at 4:16 pm #555409Anybody?
December 21, 2015 at 4:26 am #555727Hi @Maximus_,
Did you use this plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/
Please send us admin login details so that we can have a closer look. Please note that the original poster will be able to see your details so you might want to start a new thread.
Thanks,
RikardJanuary 5, 2016 at 10:11 pm #560152Hi Rikkard,
The problem is still persisting. Yes, I tried to use the mentioned transient cleaner. No success. I am attaching admin login. I didn’t update the theme per FTP so you can look at it closer and try to solve it.
Please let me know what you find.
Thanks,
– Max
January 6, 2016 at 2:45 pm #560535Hey!
Thanks for the info! I have informed my developer team to take a note of this issue it might be a while until they reproduce this issue and resolve it. Until then i suggest to you to do the FTP re-install of the theme as per the links and info provided earlier. It should fix this issue.

VinayJanuary 6, 2016 at 6:10 pm #560693Hello Vinay,
may I ask how your developer would check the issue if I upgrade the theme per FTP? Please be so kind and check my posts above. Once I upgrade the theme per FTP it will not be possible for you to check the issue and solve it.
And of course, as I already said earlier, I went through the info already provided.
Waiting on reply from more experienced moderator,

January 7, 2016 at 2:15 pm #561218Hi!
Looks like you have successfully updated the theme i see you are currently running on 3.4.7 which is the latest version so theme updates will not be shown until we release a new one.
I did check manual update for you and it is working fine. it will show the theme update available when we release a new one.
I don’t see any issue with it but since you have requested one of our developers will get back to you.
Cheers!
VinayJanuary 7, 2016 at 2:43 pm #561250Dear @Vinay,
You are completely wrong! The Enfold theme has not been updated and the version is still 3.4.6.
How did you find I “successfully updated” the theme to 3.4.7?
I am afraid you didn’t even check it as I see no admin logins from the account I post in my previous post private data section. Moreover when you login, open Enfold settings to see the current version you may still see this:
Theme Updates No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.4.6) Check Manually
Vinay, please stop pretending you are doing something on it. I can see what is going on in system logs.
The update check is still not working and the latest update is not even recognised when trying to check it manually.
Is there somebody EXPERIENCED who can look at the issue please? Somebody directly from Kriesi development team ?
I am posting the admin login details once again.January 7, 2016 at 2:53 pm #561259I posted earlier in this thread and was advised on December 2nd to upgrade manually from 3.3.2 to 3.4.6, which I did. I was told that auto-update would work next time there was an update.
3.4.7 was released on December 18th but Theme Update is still telling me today “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.4.6)” and manual check says the same.
So this auto update process is still not fixed but as per @Maximus_ I guess you know that…
January 7, 2016 at 3:56 pm #561309Hey!
@zimbo please create a new ticket and we will help you fix it.
@Maximus My bad this ticket has many issues from many people and i’m sorry i noticed the update on a different site.
We always suggest to you to create your own tickets to avoid mix ups.One thing i would like to suggest to you is to try with a new API key from envato.
Thanks for sending the login details so one of our developers can take a look at this issue.
Best regards,

January 11, 2016 at 8:07 pm #563457Hi!
Sorry for the late reply we have a high volume at this time. Thousands of sites that are running on Enfold get’s updated regularly without any issue the reason you are not able to get this feature working could be
1. There is some file which is corrupt
2. Any of the setting or plugins you have installed could be causing a conflict. You could try two things to resolve this
1. As mentioned earlier did you try with a new API key from envato?
if the above don’t work
2. Update enfold using your FTP http://kriesi.at/archives/the-complete-guide-to-updating-enfold so you have all the latest files and it will get rid of all the corropt files.Everything should work fine after that.
Cheers!
VinayJanuary 11, 2016 at 8:21 pm #563465Dear Vinay,
I was performing a full FTP update of the Enfold Theme with at least last 5 realeases until now. And the result was always the same. Do you want to say that everytime there is some corrupted file that is causing exactly the same problem? Statistically it is almost impossible!
I have also tried to generate & use a new API key from Envato => no success, no change.
And of course, I tried to turn off all plugins => no change. This seems to be a BUG in Enfold Theme, which if I make update per FTP now will not be possible to solve by Kriesi. There are other people in this thread having the same issue as well.
Your proposed solution is not working. It is time to find the real cause.
Is there anybody from the Kriesi team here? I understand that you guys have support people from somewhere, trying to help with standard requests (80% of everything I guess). But this is a serious problem and should be taken into real programmers view.
Anybody?

PS: Noone logged in to the website to check it since I sent it last time…

January 14, 2016 at 11:51 am #565331Ok guys, I can see that there is no real interest from Kriesi to solve this critical bug in Enfold theme.
I am now closing the administrator account that we have kindly opened to help with solving this problem, important for many of your customers.
Support like this is useless.

January 14, 2016 at 5:31 pm #565598Hi Max!
Sorry for the delay in my reply.
It doesn’t matter how busy we are, we are more than happy to help you any time :)
It is not like we are not interested in resolving your issue and help you update the theme. Kriesi is travelling now and he probably don’t have the internet connection. We are only asking for your kind co-operation so we can further trouble shoot this issue.
We have changed a lot of codes from the current version that you are using and I request you to re-install the theme via FTP for one last time since there are many updates we have done to the theme and it is running smoothly on thousands of websites i am sure whatever conflicts you are having with the plugins should go away. Just one thing to keep in mind is that you need to first de-activate all plugins before you re-install the theme and after you re-install the theme please try to use it without installing any of the current plugins you have for a while until we have another update release so you can be 100% sure that the theme works great :)
Let us know if you need any help with it… we are always here to help :)

March 15, 2016 at 2:10 pm #598377Hi Guys!
We are still not sure why this is working for most of user and does not work for others. My best guess is that its something to do with a server setting. Anyways, since envato is deprecating the function for this and we will use their new one in the near future I just hope that this will solve the issues. I have been told that this should work better for special server settings so please make sure to keep the theme updated via ftp until we had the time to test and implement the new update mechanism :)
Sorry that it takes so long, unfortunately its a rather weird bug for us to solve
Best regards,
Kriesi -
