We can help you with updating but we need a valid purchase code in order to verify that you actually own a license. You will have this problem every time you want to update unless you have access to the theme files on a Themeforest account. Could you try reaching out to the person who purchased the theme to see if he can give you login details? Otherwise I would recommend that you buy a license of your own.
