Hi
I have updated my theme from 3.2.3 to 4.4.1 I can log into the backend OK but when I try and view the frontend I get a ‘500 internal server error’
Any ideas as to what is going wrong?
Kind Regards
KennySeptember 13, 2018 at 8:53 pm #1009639Hey bramblejam,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

Thanks for that, what happens if you activate the parent instead of the child? If that doesn’t make a difference then please try to completely delete the parent from the server, then upload the new version again. If that doesn’t work either then please check which version of PHP you are running on the server, 5.6 is the minimum required version.
Best regards,

Thanks for the update. Did you try to completely remove the theme from the server, then upload a fresh copy of the theme after that?

Thanks for that update, though I can’t see that on my end. When going to the admin login page I first get a Google RECAPTCHA, then the login screen appears. What exactly are you getting on your end?
Best regards,

Thanks for that, though I still can’t see that error on my end. Screenshot in private.
Could you try a different machine and/or browser to see if that works better?

September 26, 2018 at 11:11 am #1014663Hi,
Did you update the theme manually via FTP? Please remove the whole “framework” folder and then replace it with the latest version.

IsmaelSeptember 26, 2018 at 1:04 pm #1014702Hi, that sorted it thanks very much!
Can you possibly help with another query regarding google maps? I have registered an API key and pasted the code and received the message “We were able to properly connect to google maps with your API key”
All seems Ok when I first visit the page with the map http://www.knoydarthouse.co.uk/getting-to-knoydart/ however when I re-visit the page I get the message “This page can’t load Google Maps correctly” and the map is greyed out with ;development purposes only’ watermarked on it.
What am I doing wrong?Kind Regards
