    My client wants the Enfold theme to be renamed so his company name would show up in the source code, fair enough…. For that reason I renamed the Enfold folder and changed the “Theme Name” in the style CSS. I also made a child theme and everything’s working fine. With my Themeforest User Name and API key I check under Theme name > Theme Updates and it states: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.1.3)” However the latest version now is 3.1.5. Hitting “Check Manually” won’t do the trick either. Even after a manual upgrade via FTP doesn’t do the job.

    Any tips on how to get it working and keep the theme name untouched?

    Hey Steven!

    Updating manually via FTP should work – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
    Please make sure to download the latest version, change theme name to match yours and then upload files to your server. Also, please make sure that your API key is correct.

    Hi and thanks for your answer. What I did was: upload the content of the Enfold folder except the style CSS. So I didn’t have to rename anything, that’s what I tought..
    I obtained the API key from themforest.net/settings. Since this one didn’t work I generated another one but no luck either. I kept the label named Enfold. Should I rename this to the name I gave the theme folder?

    Hey!

    Please download installable WordPress theme from ThemeForest and change theme name to match yours and then update the theme via FTP. New API key should work the next when there is an update.

    Hi,

    Worked! Although a I thought only the content of the folder would be just fine, I now uploaded the complete (renamed) folder and overwrote the old one.
