Hi there, I’ve updated to WordPress 4.7 with no problems, but when I go to update the theme it jumbles the site and breaks it. Let me know if you’ll need login credentials to take a closer look, thanks!
January 10, 2017 at 7:09 am #731405Hey lukeskybaker,
Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 10, 2017 at 10:13 pm #731741Thank you, I’ve posted the details. Please note that I have two Enfold themes installed. The active theme is the old theme, the inactive theme is the new theme. In the hosting account I’ve labeled the old/active theme folder as “Enfold” and the new/inactive theme folder as “Enfold-New.” If I remember correctly, deleting the old folder and only having the new still yielded the same result of the site breaking.
January 11, 2017 at 8:18 am #731928Hi,
Thanks for the login details, are we allowed to switch to the new version of the theme to be able to check the problem?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 11, 2017 at 7:07 pm #732235Yes, please go ahead. Hopefully the site won’t be down too long when you do this?
January 11, 2017 at 7:16 pm #732244Hi,
Please try to increase the allocated memory to 256M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you. Also, can you please create a testing environment by referring to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/ so we can test the theme there? We might need FTP logins as well

YigitFebruary 3, 2017 at 12:32 am #742117Not sure how to use that plugin properly, but I do have a database and full site backup file I can give you, would that help?
February 3, 2017 at 9:53 am #742297Hey!

Please do contact your hosting provider and they will be able to provide for you what needed.
Thanks a lotCheers!
BasilisMay 8, 2017 at 5:44 pm #789739Hello, sorry this took so long to get back to you, but I’ve pasted in the login credentials below in the Private Content Area to the testing environment/staging site. Can you please take a look?
My theory is the person who built this website did something to the theme files, so when we update the theme it erases those changes. I really don’t know why it would mess up the whole layout, though.
Thanks for your help!
May 8, 2017 at 7:26 pm #789787Hi,
Screenshot you sent that shows how your site looks when updating the theme is removed, therefore i could not see the issue however i went ahead and updated the theme to the latest version 4.0.5 via FTP.
I cannot see anything wrong with the layout. Can you please check and let us know if you notice any?Nice site by the way :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 8, 2017 at 11:20 pm #789898Hi, unfortunately I’m seeing the wrong layout, it’s all jumbled here’s the screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ixvy05plquq0azc/Screen%20Shot%202017-05-08%20at%203.17.44%20PM.png?dl=0
It should look like this: https://www.securityutah.com/
Thoughts? Thanks!
May 9, 2017 at 7:06 am #790013Hi,
Please try this in Quick CSS, it might help:
.html_boxed #main { overflow: visible !important; }
Best regards,
RikardMay 9, 2017 at 5:33 pm #790470That didn’t fix it, though it did fix the main body of the webpage so that’s progress! The header is still broken.
Here’s the staging site after your fix: http://securityutah.thrivestage.com/
Here’s how it should look: https://www.securityutah.com/
Thoughts? thanks again!
May 10, 2017 at 12:56 am #790721Hi,
Please export theme options in Enfold theme options > Import & Export on your live site and import it in the same tab on your staging site and copy over custom CSS codes.
Best regards,
YigitMay 15, 2017 at 5:40 pm #793437OK I’ve done that, but it still looks the same. Now what do you think?
May 18, 2017 at 7:34 pm #796111Hi just following up, any thoughts on why the site is still broken? Thanks!
May 18, 2017 at 9:34 pm #796175Hi,
Please copy enfold/css/custom.css file from your live site to your stating site.
You are not using a child theme and enfold/css/custom.css file gets overwritten when you update the theme. Please consider using a child theme or insert your custom CSS code into Enfold theme options > General Styling tabBest regards,
