    Hi – I couldn’t register on the forums as I don’t have the licence for the theme as I am doing this on behalf of a client, so I thought it best to ask the question here.

    He is running version 3.0.4 of the theme and wants to update it to the latest version but the manual update says he is up to date. I assume this is because his support has run out.

    In order to update the theme does he need to purchase it again, or can he renew his support only?

    Thanks for contacting us!

    Envato has updated their API and replaced API keys with Personal Token. We have implemented those changes in Enfold 4.5 so any version older than that needs manual update before inserting Personal Token.

    Your client can login to ThemeForest with the account they used when purchasing the license and download the latest version from Downloads page. After that you can update the theme to the latest version 4.7.6.4 – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and generate a Personal Token – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/ to insert in Enfold theme options.

    Re-purchasing is not necessary as long as they have access to ThemeForest account.
