    A previous designer purchased the Enfold theme, but did so under a personal login, and we do not have that information.

    I now need to update the theme – he somehow turned off automatic updating and we are on version 4.1.2, but everything that I am reading says that updating will help fix the error we have of the slider not working on the front page. (running child theme but original needs updated)

    What is the best way around this? Should I just purchase the theme again? I hate to do this since I know we paid him for the purchase and that was only about 6 months ago – but if that is the only way I can update, then that is what I will do.

    Hey Vicky Wu,

    Thank u for using Enfold.
    Unfortunately – you do need to buy the license again if you need to do updates. Licenses are under the name that bought the theme and they do work like that.
