A recent update broke the display of theme shortcode items such as videos and accordions in LearnDash posts. They are now invisible on the published page. Stupidly enough, they show just fine on a post preview. But not on the post itself. I’ve just spent the last hour scrambling to embed the videos using Vimeo embed code because simply pasting the video URL looks like crap in Enfold. But I have no idea what to do about all the transcripts and resources that are set in accordions. These shortcode features work everywhere else in the website except LearnDash lessons and topics.

I have put an admin login in the private content below.

    Hey keribird,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Could you give us a direct link to the lessons with the broken shortcodes? Have you tried setting the theme to use the classic editor? You can find that option in the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor section.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I am am using classic editor. The rest of the site is fine, it’s just the LearnDash posts where the shortcodes are not working.
I had to get rid of all of the functional shortcodes in the lessons because I have paying customers in the system!
There is a line separator between the video and the course content grid on this course intro: https://cyclingsavvy.org/courses/cyclingsavvy-mastery/
If I look a the page in preview mode, it shows up. But it’s invisible on the published page.

The theme shortcodes are the only ones not working. I have memberpress shortcodes on that page that shows a message when someone is not logged in. That works.

    Thank you
    Keri

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

Would you mind if we access the file server? We may need to debug the issue further and implement a few changes to the theme files.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I’ve put FTP credentials in the private content. Thank you!!

    Hi,
Thank you for the FTP access, The dev team found an issue with the shortcodes and gave us an updated theme to solve this with. I renamed your current theme to “enfold-old” then I uploaded the new “enfold” and checked that your site is working correctly. Please also check for yourself.

I used the line separator between the video and the course content grid on the page that you posted about above as the text to see if the shortcodes are working, and they seem to be now.

Once you are happy you, (or I) can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.

    Best regards,
    Mike
