The website at vitree.com is running is running WordPress 3.9.6 and Enfold 2.4.2. I can’t update the software without losing the theme settings.
It looks like this after I update it‚ WP 4.2.2 and Enfold 3.1.4:

Looks like the theme settings are missing. In Enfold 2.4.2 there is no option to download the theme settings. How can I get the theme settings file? Will that file work if I upload it to the site with the updated software.
How can I get the theme settings back without having to do it manually?
Thanks my Sage.

Since you are currently using a very old version of the theme, you may need to reconfigure some options/elements such as header – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-header-configurator/
Please try to update your theme with each update – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/Cheers!
YigitMay 26, 2015 at 6:55 am #449833Ok I will manually reconfigure because I think you are saying there is no theme settings file. That was my question—can I get the theme settings file from Enfold 2.4.2. I think you said no.
Now I am having trouble with the general styling tab on the enfold menu. All the other tabs seem to be working fine—I can upload a logo or change header settings— but none of the changes to the colors in the general styling tab are showing up on the front end.
For example I have the footer set to a red and the footer on my site is not red:

Looks like you’re using a child theme. Did you add any files in there? If you edit any template files (header.php, footer.php etc) before, they are probably rendered useless when you update to 3.1.5. You need to override the files. Anyway, I tried to login to the site but the login credential above are not working. Please update the theme regularly.
Another thing, please increase the wp memory limit to at least 128M: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/
Cheers!

The site is still using a cached version of the stylesheet, probably because of the .htaccess file. Go to wp-content > uploads > dynamic_avia folder. Delete the css file there. Toggle any theme options to regenerate the file.

Please post the code of the .htaccess file on pastebin.com, we would like to check it. You can also delete that file then resave the permalink settings. Make sure to create a backup of the file just in case. The link to the stylesheet is still set to the cached version:
<link rel="stylesheet" id="avia-dynamic-css" href="http://vitree.com/newsite/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/vitree.css?ver=5566e27cc6c68" type="text/css" media="all">
What is the folder name of the parent theme?

Alright. Please edit the .htaccess file inside the wp-content folder then follow the instruction here: http://www.kavoir.com/2009/01/htaccess-deny-from-all-restrict-directory-access.html
You can also delete it. Create a back up of the file before doing so.

if you are looking for something different then create a new thread please. I think you could try a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-custom-header-footer/Regards,
