Hi – I’ve just done a fresh install of Enfold and started to change Theme settings. However, every time I change something i.e. the copyright or another setting, it says it’s saved it okay, but when I go and change something else the copyright reverts to the ‘by Kriesi’ bit. Or my custom logo disappears from the top and the Enfold logo appears again! Why is this happening! It’s driving me crazy!
Please help.
Thank you.
Kathryn

Thank you for using Enfold.
Add the [nolink] tag in the copyright field.
Cheers!
IsmaelMay 19, 2015 at 12:39 pm #446378The [nolink] was already in and doesn’t make any difference I’m afraid. It happened again yesterday and various things reverted to the default settings – the sidebar settings, the copyright, the top bar, font styles etc. I can go into the Theme settings and save everything several times and it’s fine and then suddenly I go in again and change something and lose all the settings. Could there be something wrong with the database somewhere – could anybody take a look for me?
Many thanks.

I can’t see the default logo on either the back- or front-end and the socket is displaying your information as well, problem solved?
Best regards,
RikardMay 20, 2015 at 10:33 am #447017No I’m afraid the problem isn’t solved – as I explained above, the theme settings keep disappearing and I keep putting them back! The client’s website is live so when it happens I have to change the settings back straightaway which is why you can see the company logo and my information in the copyright. As I said, this happens randomly and I can go into the Theme settings sometimes to make a change and it’s fine and then the next time I go in to change something, save it, and most of the theme settings reset themselves back to the default settings. I would like to know why this might be happening and how I can fix it!
Thanks.

Ok I see. Just to be sure it’s not a caching issue, could you please try to flush your browser cache and reload a few times to see if that helps? You might also want to check if you get the same error in another browser. If that doesn’t help then please provide us with detailed instructions on how to reproduce the error and if we are allowed to try it out on the site.

RikardMay 22, 2015 at 10:29 pm #448675Hi – sorry, could you explain to me how a caching issue would wipe out theme settings randomly? I have cleared the browser cache using Google Chrome – History – Clear Browsing Data. I can’t give you detailed instructions on how to reproduce the error since as I explained it has happened randomly – sometimes I have been into the Theme settings and it hasn’t happened and sometimes it has.

It’s hard for us to debug erratic problems, so far your website seems OK on my end, correct logo is showing and no Kriesi backlink appears in the footer.
Cheers!
JosueMay 26, 2015 at 12:58 pm #450043Hi – I appreciate that but I just wondered if you have ever seen this problem before and what it would suggest to you – could it be something wrong with the setup/database? One of your colleagues suggested earlier that it could be a caching problem but I don’t really understand why a caching problem would remove all my theme settings?
Thanks.

May 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm #450045Theme settings are stored in the DB so if there’s one way to debug this problem it would be to monitor the database, your server provider may be able to do this for you.
Regards,
JosueMay 26, 2015 at 3:23 pm #450125Okay thanks.
