Hi Kriesi,
I am contacting you because we have the Angular theme on our website and obviously there are no further updates as you have a new theme. This is causing our website to be attacked as its quite vulnerable considering it is outdated.
I am not sure what our options are. Do we need to get your new theme? Also, would getting the new theme be compatible with the original Angular theme. The one thing we really like is the portfolio layout and how the images are presented as we are an acting agency and love the format and have not seen any other theme with that portfolio layout.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the API Key as our website was built by somebody else but we are trying to contact them to see if they can send us their information just so you can verify that the Angular theme was bought through you.
We would appreciate any help and advice you could give us to move forward and get our website and theme updated to avoid the attacks we are having.

Thanks for contacting us, it is true that our Angular theme will have no further updates and we are now only supporting our Enfold theme
But this is not exactly a “new” theme, we have been developing it for about six years now and is very versatile.

Unfortunately, Enfold is not compatible with the Angular theme. But Enfold does include our most advanced portfolio with 8 different styles, please see our demo here.Can you describe the nature of your attacks, there are quite a few plugins and tools available to protect sites now, perhaps one will help you.

Thank you very much for your response and insight. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if I buy Enfold and make it the Theme, would I have to recreate the website?
As far as the attacks go, it seems like we are just getting a lot of spam injected into our pages and portfolio items. It seems like they are injecting some java scripts and it redirects people to spammy websites. Another issue is that we cannot update our site to the most recent php version because the Angular Theme isn’t compatible with it. We currently have Angular 2.0 and I’m not sure if there is any more recent version than that.
We have looked into Sucuri and Wordfence and will probably end up buying Sucuri to protect our site and clean the spam/viruses.
We probably will end up updating to the Enfold theme but like I mentioned before, I am it’s curious if I’ll have to completely create the website from scratch again.

Unfortunately, you will need to recreate your site with Enfold, as with any other theme.
Before you buy a security plugin, please try the free version of Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall I also like the free version of WP Hide & Security Enhancer to lock down the holes in WP.I hope this helps and buys you some time to start working on your new site.

Thank you again for all your help and assistance. I will install those plugins right away and see how they work! I’m always looking for ways to try and save money, so using the free versions as much as possible is a must so thank you for that!
We will definitely be buying the theme Enfold within the next couple of days because hacking just seems to be increasing more and more!
