Hope you are well.
Apologises for this query as its probably a forum query but the company I work with is now using the same website build (Enfold WordPress theme) as the global company that own us. It was actually provided from them and than we just updated it to suit the stuff we wanted to add to our own site, so I don’t know they have registration with yourself or where they purchased the theme from. However, my query is, we’ve been told that the theme has an update from the cyber security team in the global organisation. I did check and we are using 4.1 and it seems to now be at 4.7. How do we update to the latest version? Do we need to purchase a new theme or does it automatically occur on the website itself as I couldn’t see anything. Also, if we update to the latest version, will we need to rebuild anything on the site? or would it be just like a plugin update where there is no visible change to the site?
Any help, would be appreciated.

First of all, the Enfold theme is only sold in Envato/Themeforest, and purchasing outside of it is illegal.
Since you are using 4.1 which uses a different mechanism for updates (API key) from the latest version 4.7.4 (uses token), you’ll need to do manual update via cPanel or FTP, you can download the latest version using the account used to purchase Enfold in themeforest.
Once you have updated to the latest version of Enfold, you’ll need to register the theme: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Since there’s a huge gap of versions, I would suggest doing a backup first before updating, but most likely you won’t need to rebuild anything.Best regards,
