Hello,
we’re using Enfold theme (version: 2.9.1) and have recognized that playing with the Theme Options doesn’t have effects on the frontend.
I already deactivted all third-party plugins but the problem still remains.
So do you have any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
Kind regards

I installed the theme on my local system and unfortunately found out that it works there.
However i can’t explain why these settings doesn’t work on this site:

Please make sure that wp-content/uploads folder has correct permissions ( 755 ) – http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

YigitAugust 20, 2014 at 5:38 pm #306957Hey Yigit,
thanks for the hint with the permissions. We have some trouble regarding the permissions of the uploads directory.
The only way to upload files via media in backend is to set the permissions to 777 at the moment. I don’t know why.But setting the permissions to 755 doesn’t have any effect for the behaviour i mentioned above.
Any ideas?

Well.. I guess you need to contact your host regarding that. It doesn’t seem to be a theme related issue.

Do I understand your hints correctly that my problem with theme options may have to do with the server settings or permissions?
Btw can you tell me where the values in theme settings are stored? In the database or in a file? Why it isn’t possible for the theme
to read in these values correctly?Regards,
AxelAugust 21, 2014 at 10:13 am #307249Okay i just found out, that my enfold_child_theme.css located at wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/ won’t get overwritten after i change some theme options and click on “Save all changes”.
Whereas in my local installation this actions works. So the overriding procedure doesn’t work online. But how can i fix it?
Which permissions do i have to set to folders and files inside wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia to run properly?Btw: For what reason the css files are stored in the uploads folder? I thought the uploads folder is only for uploading media files via backend?
Maybe you have an idea how i can fit the overriding feature.

AxelAugust 21, 2014 at 11:46 am #307279Hi!
Please use a ftp client and connect to your server. Navigate to wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/ and set the folder permission to 777. Then delete the enfold.css file inside the dynamic_avia folder. Afterwards go to Enfold > Theme Options to regenerate the dynamic stylesheets (hit the green “Save all changes” button). Enfold uses the uploads folder because the permission is normally set to 755 or 777 and Enfold can normally create the “dynamic_avia” folder easily without any additional permission changes.
Best regards,
PeterAugust 21, 2014 at 12:45 pm #307311Hi dude and thanks for your help.
Due to i have access to the server i checked several settings for permissions, owner- and group-memberships and finally
found a (the) solution.I set the owner for the uploads folder to www-data, that is the name of the web server. Afterwards i could adjust the permissions
back to 755 (folders) and 644 (files) and now both file uploading and updating theme options work perfectly.Again thanks for you help.
Cheers
