I tried to update the theme, however I get errors when attempting to update BOTH through wordpress and FTP.
When I try to update via wordpress, it gives this error screen. (both code boxes are the same)
http://gyazo.com/7469addc6b7438bf95b8b328bc6e73beWhen I try to update the theme by both overwriting the current theme, or deleting the current theme and installing the updated version, My site gets stuck in a “down for maintenance mode” where I cannot access anything including the admin pages.
I can delete whatever I’ve uploaded and re-upload my old version of the enfold theme without issue.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
May 28, 2014 at 10:22 pm #271454Hi!
Have you tried doing what the message says?
We detected some custom styling rules in your custom.css file but could not restore it. Please open the file yourself and add the following content:
Cheers!
JosueMay 28, 2014 at 11:08 pm #271481The content in custom.css and the code they want me to insert is the exact same.
I deleted the enfold folder from my FTP, and reinstalled it via wordpress, it recognizes the theme as version 2.8.
I run into another issue though when I try to switch to my child theme, which shows this:Fatal error: Cannot redeclare avia_bbpress_deregister_default_assets() in /nas/wp/www/staging/hackjacket/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-bbpress/config.php on line 19
http://gyazo.com/9bf82c5526e0c3f7ca7e6f4df27991bc (just a picture of above code if necessary)
Any idea how to fix this? I don’t use BBPress at all, nor will I ever. Would deleting the folder possibly fix this? or is there another fix?
Thanks for your help!!
EDIT: Tried to delete the folder config-bbpress since we don’t use the plugin, it created more issues. Reinstalled it
EDIT 2: With this issue, you cannot access the wp-admin section of the site either.- This reply was modified 10 years, 6 months ago by DaveL77.

I had added code to functions.pho regarding that issue previously (from a topic on here)
I removed the code and the website works fine now!May 28, 2014 at 11:42 pm #271504Hey Theron!
Try doing it via FTP, the WP upload may fail sometimes:
