Your help with a strange issue is urgently requested! Here’s what’s happening:
Just for overall background: I have five recently created products in my Woocommerce store that are password protected with variations. Purchasing these products gives you access to a membership plan through a 3rd party plugin.
The problem: Product inventory keeps on being reduced to 0 after about an hour. This morning, the other products we had live became affected as well, so it seems to be spreading.
Thinking it was the Woocommerce Square plugin, I removed the syncing options, so that’s not the problem.
On a test site (using WP-Staging Plugin) I removed the Enfold theme and the product inventory was maintained just fine – which is why I think there may be a theme conflict. I have the latest version (4.4.1). WordPress and everything else are all up to date.
This is a HUGE huge huge issue and the theme is the ONLY thing I can think of being the problem. Please help!
Thank you!
September 14, 2018 at 6:22 pm #1009919PS I had to turn off all inventory management so that we could launch our membership plan this morning – so note that it’s on purpose. There are staging sites set up under the WP-Staging plugin for you to mess around with in terms of turning on/off plugins and testing to duplicate the issue.
Thanks!
September 16, 2018 at 5:10 pm #1010456Hi kellyCraftMedia,
We apologize for the late response.
I tried to access the staging site: 9-14-18 however it does ask for username and password, which I tried to use the one posted in private content and it doesn’t work.
Just to clarify with the issue, does it only apply on simple product? variable product? or all types?
Also if the product is set to a huge amount, is it still reduced to 0 after an hour without anyone purchasing? or the reduction triggers only during purchase then sets it to 0?Best regards,

I have created a new test site that is actually live connected to Square so I could test what I think is the problem – variable products in Square aren’t communicating properly, where in this case the product was created, synced to our Square account at an inventory of 0, then as the two were communicating back and forth we think the Woocommerce Square plugin was resetting based on the original product created in Square. Weird issue!
To answer your question, however, the products were just randomly resetting back to 0 – NOT triggered by a product purchase. And yes, they are all variable products.
I’m reaching out to those parties but I don’t think it is related to Enfold after all. Sorry to bother you and thank you so much for all your wonderful support!
