Hi all
after updating the theme to the latest version, a 404 error appears for a background image that is not found for an incorrect path:
(same problem with other web site vedaformazione.it) http://www.vedaformazione.it/www.vedaformazione.it/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/body-bg7.png
I corrected the link directly through the database but immediately after the problem reappears.
Someone can check for this ?
Thanks

April 3, 2019 at 4:54 am #1086335Hey ptolda,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Have you tried toggling the Performance > File Compression settings after the update? The latest version contains a fix for this particular issue, so that shouldn’t be happening.
Best regards,
IsmaelApril 3, 2019 at 2:16 pm #1086535Hi Ismael
if I disable the compression of css files the problem is solved, if I reactivate it, the problem come back…
for both websites…

April 4, 2019 at 9:06 am #1086863Hi ptolda,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

April 6, 2019 at 6:08 am #1087693Hi ptolda,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I have enabled CSS file merging and compression back, then unchecked Delete old CSS and JS files? since it’s only recommended if you’re not using a caching plugin.
Then I flushed out the cache from WP Super Cache and that fixed it.Best regards,
NikkoApril 6, 2019 at 12:27 pm #1087748Hi Nikko
I know very well the procedures you did, but I don’t think it’s that simple.
You can also do it on the second site because I following your procedures the error continues to remain…Let me know please.

April 9, 2019 at 12:43 pm #1088642Hi,
We modified the asset-manager.class.php, removed the background and then added it back. The url or file path is now correct.
html.html_boxed { background: #525252 url(https://www.vedaformazione.it/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/body-bg7.png) center center repeat scroll; }
Best regards,
IsmaelApril 9, 2019 at 5:33 pm #1088750Hi Ismael
I don’t understand how you can see something and I can’t.
Even having deleted the cache and used different browsers the error is always present.
Since it seems impossible to solve such a trivial problem, I had to disable CSS compression.
bye.

April 10, 2019 at 10:08 am #1089052Hi ptolda,
I think you just need to flush out the cache from the caching plugin and clear the browser cache on your end and it should be fine since the code was already modified by Ismael.
I have done the same on this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/background-request-gets-404-answer-not-found/#post-1089043Best regards,
NikkoApril 30, 2019 at 2:59 pm #1095781Hi Ismael
html.html_boxed { background: #525252 url(https://www.vedaformazione.it/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/body-bg7.png) center center repeat scroll; }
Please, could you tell me which code should I replace to insert the code above?
thanks
May 1, 2019 at 6:44 pm #1096236Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
Ismael has already corrected the script so no action is required from your side.
I checked the image library and found out there is no image by name “grain_top.png” that is the reason you are getting a 404 error.
Please re-upload the image and try again, it should work as intended. In case you have any issue please share the URL of the page and point our how we can re-produce the issue.
Best regards,
VinayMay 1, 2019 at 6:55 pm #1096238Hello I am having the same problem. I posted about it yesterday and the above didn’t work for me. Can you take a look at my site? Creds below
May 2, 2019 at 6:10 pm #1096544Hi Vinay
Sorry but I asked a specific question and I would like to receive an answer to that question…I uploaded the original file and didn’t save the file with the changes …
Thanks for your patience.
May 3, 2019 at 2:16 am #1096682Hi,
Thanks for the update.
Why did you revert the changes back? We modified the asset-manager.php file to fix the compression issue.

IsmaelMay 15, 2020 at 6:30 pm #1213380I have same problem with same file. I don’t use a caching plugin. I have compression and merging disabled. I’ve purged endurance cache and browser cache several times and problem persists. The path seems correct and file is definitely there on the server.
May 15, 2020 at 6:46 pm #1213388Scratch that. Error just went away on its own
May 16, 2020 at 7:00 pm #1213637Hi milkytech,
