Hi guys,
I’m wondering if you can help me, I’m getting this error message when I try to open the home page for editing:
The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
All the other pages are working ok.
Any tips would be very much appreciated!

Can you please check server log for error?
We are not seeing the login link, did you forget to add it?

July 23, 2019 at 12:50 pm #1121182Hi,
Thanks for that, I see the same thing on my end. Do you know which version of PHP you are running on the site? We recommend that you use 7.1 or 7.2.

RikardJuly 24, 2019 at 1:10 am #1121345Hi Rikard, thanks for confirming that, I did a lot of google searching and thought that must be the problem too. We have PHP 7.0 without option in cpanel to use 7.1 or 7.2 so I’m going to talk to our server host to see if we can get that changed. Thanks again! =))

RikardJuly 26, 2019 at 1:15 am #1122010Hi Rikard, apparently it was an issue with the “memory configuration” and not PHP version. Anyways, all working again now, thanks again for your great support!

RikardJuly 29, 2019 at 1:35 am #1122598Hi Rikard,
I’m still having problems. My tech guy said our PHP is actually already 7.2 (I got that wrong) . He increased the RAM to 128mb which at least let me access the home page editor again but I was still having problems not being able to save changes. He increased the RAM to 256mb and I’m still having problems. He said that the number of boxes I’ve used on the homepage was too many and taking up RAM. Is that the case? Is there a way for me to reduce the boxes and still have all the animations and columns that I need? Are you able to take a look and tell me why we are needing so much RAM or if there’s another problem?
By the way, it’s only the home page, all the other pages are editing fine.
Thanks so much =))
July 29, 2019 at 9:34 am #1122668Hi,
Thanks for the update, though I can’t see any problems on your site now. Both the back- and front-end are loading without any problems on my end. Could you explain the problem you are having now a bit further please? 256mb PHP memory can sometimes not be enough, maybe you could increase it to 512 if you still are having problems?

RikardJuly 29, 2019 at 9:44 am #1122675Hi Rikard,
I can’t even make a simple change to the homepage… I want to make the second colour section a “my-section” to reduce the spacing between the columns (according to the custom css I have). It won’t save when I make that simple change.
My tech guy said that most websites only need 64mb of ram and that I’m using too many boxes. Is it all the boxes that is causing the ram problem? I have never used wordpress before, am I using colour sections and boxes in the wrong way?
Thanks! =))
July 29, 2019 at 12:50 pm #1122734Hi,
Thanks for the clarification, I didn’t realise that the builder was the problem now. I had a look at the front page but I didn’t want to change anything on your live site, unless you give us permission to do so? Did you try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options to see if that makes any difference?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 30, 2019 at 12:55 am #1122988Thanks Rikard,
It’s fine if you’d like to make changes. Could you try to make the second colour section on the home page custom CSS class “my-section”? I’m not able to make this change, it won’t save. I have no idea why? How do I change to classic editor without losing all the work I have already done on the home page?
Why is it only the home page having trouble and all the other pages save without problems?
If I keep trying to edit the homepage, eventually I get the same error message as I originally started this post for…
Thank you!
