When I try to edit my pages it has started giving me the following error on the content error of several pages. It has been doing this for a while. At the moment I can’t access the editor of my homepage, about us and contact page. Sometimes it allows me to edit once then after saving the error comes back and I can’t edit the content. Some pages are working fine no error at all so I am not sure where the issue lies.
In the content editor of the page white background with this text:OK
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. The page itself displays fine in frontend but I really need to edit the pages to have my site go live.
Thank you for the help.Regards Charlotte

January 11, 2018 at 5:03 am #895970Hey c-vd-p,
Sorry I was not able to reproduce this error, I made a few changes to a few page and saved, the changed back and saved, with no errors.
I notice that not all of the admin options are available, perhaps you have a security plugin?
Did your error happen after updating to WordPress v4.9.1? This was a normal response for this update to happen once. Perhaps the first time didn’t work so WordPress tried again.
Otherwise did you try disabling your plugins?Best regards,
MikeFebruary 5, 2018 at 9:03 pm #908197Hi Mike,
Thank you for the response.
Some of the pages are working and some pages aren’t. For example the home pages are giving this error and I can’t do any changes.
I had the php checked but that all looks fine. I don’t think the error was the result of an update. It has been giving the error for a while now.
In terms of the plugins, do you think one of the plugins is causing the error? I don’t have a particular plugin in working on the pages that are giving the server error.Regards,
CharlotteFebruary 6, 2018 at 4:22 am #908332Hi,
A plugin conflict could respond like this. Please try deactivating all of your plugins and updating from v4.2 to v4.2.2 manually via FTP: https://vimeo.com/67209750 – then test your site for errors. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 7, 2018 at 5:21 pm #909309HI Mike,
Thank you for your response.
Right now everything is up to date WordPress, Themes, and Plugins also and checked with each plugin deactivate. Also did a check in different php versions..
Still giving the error :(Service Unavailable

Can we disable the plugins to check? We will also need you to disable the Advanced Access Manager, I think it is blocking some access, for example I don’t see the setting screen for it and the user list is only showing the option to edit the current user instead of the list of users.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 11, 2018 at 11:48 pm #910824Hi Mike,
Yes you may disable any of the plugins to check the site issue.
Thank you.Kind regards,
CharlotteFebruary 12, 2018 at 12:22 pm #911062Hi,
I have found that deactivating some of your plugins solved the issue, please try activating them one at a time to find the one causing the conflict.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 12, 2018 at 1:39 pm #911096Hi Mike,
Thanks I found the issue it is the polylang plugin.
I do need this to work on my site to have the 2 languages option.
Is there a way to solve the clash of module and theme? I’ve had this module from the start and it didn’t give this problem in the beginning.
Regards CharlotteFebruary 12, 2018 at 1:57 pm #911102Update: I edited some things on a page and just got the same server error again, even though the polylang plugin is disabled. I disabled the other events plugin but it still gives the same error?
February 12, 2018 at 2:01 pm #911103Hi,
The polylang plugin seems to work on my localhost, perhaps another plugin is conflicting with it, the way to check that would be to disable all of the others, and if the polylang plugin works again turn on the others one at a time to see when the conflict occurs.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 12, 2018 at 6:49 pm #911263I have deactivate all plugins but same issue still there.
It is not a plugin conflict because if it was a plugin conflict then editor will not work on any page.
February 12, 2018 at 6:58 pm #911268Hi Mike,
It’s Pardeep here Developer who’s working on site. I have update latest WordPress and updated all plugins and with Enfold theme.
I am sure this is not a plugin conflict because if it’s plugin conflict then its must be not working on any page but its working on some page and on some pages its not working.
Please let me know about the solution on your theme issue! This is high priority for me to resolve this issue if you have any solution for me to do this issue fixes then please let me know!
I will be very thank full for your help if you will resolve this issue!
Thanks in advance!
PardeepFebruary 13, 2018 at 5:45 am #911530Hello Pardeep,
On my initial investigation once I found that disabling the plugins seem to solve the issue it seem to make since as we see these types of conflicts often. But now that you say that the issue continues, I believe that this is a server issue as “The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.” is the standard Apache response to a 503 error.
Please check with your webhost to review the error logs and if they can address.Best regards,
MikeNovember 28, 2018 at 2:33 pm #1038527Hi there!
Since I updated manually to 4.5 I got several Problems:
– WP dashboard says it’s still 3.8.5 running while in “Enfold – Theme Update” 4.5 is confirmed
– any modifications in the Enfold options don’t appear
– ALB in post editing sometimes is at “service unavailable”…Any ideas? Thank you…
