    Instead of a very simple footer with only 1 column the enfold default message is showing up:
    “Interessante Links. Hier findest Du ein paar interessante Links! Viel Spaß auf unserer Website :)”
    The message is not part of the widgets, the widgets in the footer are completely ignored.
    I tried to replace the footer with a page in the footer settings, but it does not change anything.
    Is there any solution for this problem?

    Is the widgets empty? If so, then please try to fill it with some content. If you need further help, then please post admin WordPress login details in private.

    Hello Rikard,

    Unfortunately the widget is not empty, but the complete individual footer is not displayed. It looks as if an invisible default footer would overwrite the intended footer. Only the number of columns, however, is taken over – but the columns are filled with standard widgets and not with the selected ones in the widget area.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I see that you are overriding footer.php in your child theme, did you try replacing that file with the parent theme file? You can add your customisations back in after that.
