Hello,
We are using Events Calendar Pro (by Modern Tribe) with Enfold and have noticed a bug with the search bar. I’d like to clarify that I’m referring to the Events Calendar search bar that is part of the Events Calendar plugin. When a search term is entered, the first page of search results is shown correctly. But when a user navigates to the next page using the NEXT EVENTS link, the search results then display all events rather than a continuation of those that fit the search term.
I have contacted Modern Tribe and they have suggested it’s a bug with the Enfold theme. Please see this thread https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/search-term-is-cleared-when-next-page-link-is-clicked/ .
To test, visit http://rotarycentreforthearts.com/events/ and enter drum circle into the search field. You’ll see all drum circle events listed on the first page. When you click the Next Events link, the results go back to a list of all events.
Let me know if you need more details. Thanks
November 30, 2015 at 6:43 pm #544720Hey kvpacs!
upgrade to Enfold 3.4.3 please. Try to deactivate all other plugins, to check if one is causing this issue and let us know about your results.
Send us admin access, so we can take a deeper look into it. You can post login details here as private reply.

AndyDecember 7, 2015 at 9:42 pm #548310Hi Andy,
I’ve upgraded to Enfold 3.4.5 and the latest version of The Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro, and the ECP Community Events plugin.
When Twenty-fifteen is activated, the Next Events link works perfectly. A user can enter a search term into The Events Calendar search bar, get the results, and use the Next link to see the next page of search results.
When Enfold is activated and I do the same thing, the first page of search results is correct, and the next page results show ALL events, rather than those that fit with the search term. I’ve tested by deactivating all plugins, except The Events Calendar, and the problem still occurs.
Is there any other info you need? An admin login is included in private data.
Thanks
December 8, 2015 at 6:20 am #548528Hey!
We tested this on our end and the navigation works fine. It doesn’t remove the “tribe-bar-search” query when we click either the next or the previous button. Did you add any modifications or templates for the events plugin? The markup of the events page looks different compare to the theme’s default event template. In case you’re wondering about the query, check the url field of the browser. You should see something like this:
events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-search=event

Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic.

RikardJanuary 5, 2016 at 8:02 am #559755I have no idea how to solve this. I removed modifications one by one from all the files within the enfold child theme folder. Nothing made a difference until I deleted the child css file completely (all other child files were still active)
– If I delete the child style.css file completely, visit http://rotarycentreforthearts.com/events/, type “drum circle” in the Events Calendar search box, the NEXT button works perfectly.
– If I leave the child css file in the enfold child folder, but remove all css except the header comment, enter the search query into the site, the NEXT button does not work.
If this gives any clue as to where the issue could lie, please let me know. I’ve included temp login details.
Thanks
January 5, 2016 at 2:12 pm #559932Hi!
It seems to be related with the preloader script. I deactivated the theme’s Page Preloading option and the search query works fine. Are you OK with the preloader deactivated?
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 5, 2016 at 9:00 pm #560124Thank you so much Ismael! Appreciate your help.
I left Page Preloading active and deactivated Page Transitions as that seems to be causing the issue.
Is this issue between Enfold and The Events Calendar plugin something that will be resolved in a future update?January 6, 2016 at 5:32 pm #560657Hi!
we have reported this issue to Kriesi. Let’s see if he can find a fix in a future update.

January 6, 2016 at 9:14 pm #560756Hey!
Please also do report to the Modern Tribe support and if they can come with a solution faster, we can for sure add it on a next update.

January 7, 2016 at 2:56 am #560914Hey!
Alright. Please inform them that the preloader script is located on the js > avia.js file. Look for the “avia_site_preloader” function. Maybe it will help with debugging. Thank you!
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 7, 2016 at 3:20 am #560932Will do. Thanks.
